The position will be responsible for ensuring successful characterization of new products, defining production test plans and launching new products into high volume production. The Candidate is responsible for yield enhancement, analysis of RMA customer returns, and Change control during production. This position will interface with Design, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability, Applications, Foundry and Marketing groups to identify opportunities, drive projects to completion, and verify effectiveness.\nThe assigned tasks will be significant and unique in nature and will require analysis of situations, data, and intangibles. The candidate will need to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to achieve results. The person in this role will be responsible for successful release of new products into production once a design is proven functional. This will require a strong ability to coordinate among different engineering groups. The candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of commitment and be flexible to project needs. The candidate must be a team player and possess a sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nThis position has responsibility for:\nNew Product Introduction: Ensure new products meet product development requirements prior to production release. Define production test plans, define experiments to study product performance and capabilities, analyze test and characterization data to identify performance issues or show product meets marketing requirements. Establish standardized test and measurement methods for new product lines.\nProduct Sustaining: Apply data analysis skills to improve product yields during production. Review and disposition production lots as necessary. Test time reduction. Analyze customer returns. Able to operate independently.\nChange Control: Review any changes in production processes and how the change may impact product performance or reliability. Perform any necessary electrical characterization to support change qualification.\nFailure Analysis: Drive failure analysis studies on customer returns or to study failure modes that impact yield.\nTeam Leadership: provide technical mentoring to junior product engineers; lead activities and efforts on cross functional teams\nMinimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)\nTypically requires 12+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Design Engineering depending on education level and experience\nExperience with any of the following products: LNA, Switch, Antenna Tuning Switch, Wifi/Bluetooth PA, Digital Attenuators, Phase Shifters, DC-DC converters, PMIC\nStrong technical writing and communication skills\nDemonstrated collaboration and communication skills across distributed teams\nStrong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule\nAbility to clearly assess and manage risk\nHands on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance\nBackground with software such as Datapower, JMP, Cadence, Matlab\nBackground working with large datasets and applying statistical methods to draw conclusions\nExperience with Cadence for layout and schematic review\nAbility to lead cross functional team of engineers\nAbility to mentor engineers\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience mentoring junior engineers\nEducation Requirements\nBSEE required; MSEE preferred\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
