Come join us in reinventing the RF Front-End!\nWhy Consider This Job Opportunity\nAs a Staff Device Engineer on the Product Integration team, you will lead the development of physics-based models to advance acoustic resonator performance, manufacturability, and reliability. You will work closely with the RF designer team, technology team, and software engineers to apply this deeper device-level insight toward the development of high-performance RF filters for mass production. This role provides a significant opportunity to shape key technical decisions, guide cross-functional efforts, and apply your expertise to solve complex challenges in mobile device technology.\nWorkplace Policy\nHybrid from San Mateo, CA\nWhat To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)\nLead the development and improvement of physics-based models that enhance acoustic resonator simulation accuracy and support overall RF filter performance.\nDirect the analysis of acoustic, electrical, and thermal behaviors to identify performance limits, trade-offs, and mitigation strategies. \nOversee the review and interpretation of large-scale RF data and measurement results to improve modeling fidelity and inform design and technology decisions. \nSupport experimentation, prototyping, and characterization activities that contribute to technology advancement and product development milestones.\nContribute to the continued development of XBAR device knowledge and participate in shaping long-term technology direction. \nProvide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers working on device modeling, characterization, and performance optimization.\nWhat Is Required (Qualifications)\nMaster’s or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. \n6+ years of industry experience in device engineering, RF/acoustics, modeling, or semiconductor/MEMS. \nDemonstrated ownership of major device models, methods, or systems with minimal supervision. \nStrong expertise in acoustic/RF device modeling (XBAR, SAW, BAW, MEMS). \nProficient with Python, MATLAB, and FEM tools such as COMSOL or FEMTET. \nAble to lead cross-functional technical efforts and influence design or technology decisions. \nExcellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and support junior engineers.\nHow To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)\nHands-on experience with SAW, BAW, XBAR, or MEMS device design or characterization. \nBackground in semiconductor, MEMS, or acoustic filter fabrication and process integration. \nStrong proficiency with FEM/multiphysics tools (e.g., COMSOL, FEMTET). \nExperience supporting technology or product development for high-volume commercial applications.\nTravel\nDomestic travel between California offices is required.\nInfrequent International travel is required.\nPerks\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.\nGenerous Paid Time Off, including paid holidays and floating holidays.\n401(k) employer match on retirement planning.\nHybrid working schedule for eligible positions.\nTuition reimbursement on approved programs.\nFlexible and health spending accounts.\nTalent Development program.\nOther\nMinimum Salary: $120,000\nMaximum Salary: $260,000\nWe consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
