This role combines responsibilities from both the Business Analyst and Developer disciplines. In this hybrid position, the individual is responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions while also designing and developing the underlying data structures and reporting assets. The BA/DEV ensures that business requirements are accurately understood and implemented through well-designed data models, database solutions, and Power BI reporting that deliver meaningful insights and value to stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Stakeholder Management and Requirement Gathering\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business needs, goals, and challenges.\nTranslate business requirements into clear technical specifications and development tasks.\nFacilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and collect feedback throughout the project lifecycle.\nEnsure alignment between business objectives and the technical solutions being implemented.\n2. Solution Design and Technical Planning\nDesign data solutions that support business requirements, including database structures, views, and data models.\nContribute to the creation and maintenance of project plans, ensuring technical development aligns with business priorities and timelines.\nIdentify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting capabilities, and system efficiency.\n3. Data Development and Implementation\nDevelop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and data transformations.\nBuild and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for business users.\nWrite and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data analysis, and system integrations.\nEnsure data models are efficient, scalable, and aligned with reporting requirements.\n4. Product and Development Lifecycle Support\nAct as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and implemented.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint reviews.\nWork closely with development teams to clarify requirements, refine tasks, and ensure deliverables meet business needs.\n5. Testing and Validation\nSupport testing activities by validating that solutions meet business requirements and data accuracy standards.\nAssist in identifying both positive and negative test scenarios aligned with business processes.\nProvide business and technical context during testing to ensure real-world scenarios are properly evaluated.\nHelp determine whether issues identified during testing represent defects or expected behavior based on defined business logic.\nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with stakeholders and incorporating feedback into solution improvements.\n6. Cross-functional Collaboration\nWork closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered accurately and efficiently.\nPromote clear communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables.\nContribute to continuous improvement of data processes, reporting capabilities, and team collaboration.\n7. Release and Deployment\nSupport deployment activities by coordinating with technical teams to ensure database and reporting changes are properly released.\nValidate that deployments function as expected and monitor post-release performance.\nIdentify opportunities for improvement based on system performance, user feedback, and operational needs.\n Required Skills & Experience:\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a database development role (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)\n\nBusiness Analysis Skills\nAbility to analyze complex business problems and document requirements, processes, and workflows.\n\nTechnical Development Skills\nStrong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, data transformations, and performance optimization.\nExperience designing and developing database objects and data models.\nPower BI Development\nExperience building dashboards, reports, and data models in Power BI that provide meaningful business insights.\nStakeholder Management\nAbility to work with diverse stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate them into technical solutions.\nAgile & Collaboration\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within cross-functional development teams.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications and explain technical concepts to business users.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional
