At PsiQuantum, we’re building a general-purpose silicon photonic quantum computer to tackle these challenges.\nWe’re seeking a Photonic Model Integrator to develop and maintain our library of photonic component and circuit models. This role sits at the intersection of photonic circuit design, CAD infrastructure, and electromagnetic (EM) modeling. You’ll help ensure that schematic, layout, and extracted models stay consistent, automated, and ready for simulation.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop physics-based models of photonic components for quantum circuit simulations.\nBuild and maintain a library of photonic component models.\nDevelop component- and circuit-simulation tools and pipelines.\nImprove the reproducibility of design-to-simulation workflows.\nCollaborate with PDK engineers to maintain model links to process design kits.\nExperience and Qualifications\nMS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.\n6+ years of experience in integrated photonics.\nStrong Python scripting skills.\nExperience with photonic layout tools such as KLayout or Cadence Virtuoso; EM solvers such as Lumerical FDTD/MODE, HFSS, CST, or Tidy3D; and circuit simulators such as SPICE, INTERCONNECT, Caphe, or PhotonForge.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences.\nStrong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.\nA track record of delivering impactful results.\nAbility to work independently with limited direction, manage multiple priorities, and deliver on schedule.\nDemonstrated interest in quantum computing.\nAbility to contribute in a fast-paced startup environment. \nBase pay is one part of the total compensation package. Full-time roles are eligible for equity and benefits. Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic markets, and we pay based on defined geographic zones.
