We provide advanced research and clinical sequencing services to academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients.\nWe are seeking Laboratory Technicians, Scientists, and Managers who will contribute to the daily operation, optimization, and leadership of our laboratory facilities in Maryland (MD) or Massachusetts (MA). Depending on the role level, responsibilities include performing laboratory workflows, leading project execution, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.\nCandidates should have hands-on experience in molecular biology, sequencing workflows, or biological sample processing, and a strong interest in multi-omics and high-throughput genomic technologies.\nWhat you'll do\n1. Experimental Operations\nPerform a range of molecular biology and genomics techniques including:\nBiological tissue and blood sample handling\nDNA/RNA extraction and quantification\nGel electrophoresis, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation\nSequencing on Illumina, Ultima, PacBio, or 10x Genomics platforms\nSingle-cell assay setup and proteomics sample preparation\n\nOperate computer-based laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS, instrument software) and record data with accuracy.\nMaintain consistent sample tracking, labeling, and data integrity across projects.\n2. Laboratory Maintenance & Quality Control\nMonitor and maintain laboratory equipment performance; perform calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed.\nManage inventory of reagents and consumables, ensuring readiness for high-throughput operations.\nEnsure all experimental steps comply with CLIA, CAP, and ISO quality standards.\nPrepare and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to laboratory safety guidelines.\n3. Workflow Optimization & Troubleshooting\nIdentify and troubleshoot issues with samples, instruments, or reagents to improve workflow efficiency.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Project Management, Bioinformatics, and Operations) to streamline experimental pipelines.\nContribute to the development and optimization of new assays, methods, or automation processes for enhanced throughput and data quality.\n4. Team Collaboration & Communication\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to clarify sample issues, data discrepancies, or project timelines.\nTrain and mentor junior staff on laboratory techniques, data recording, and quality control standards.\nParticipate in inter-departmental meetings to support project execution and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport coordination between MD and MA laboratory teams to maintain consistent SOPs and performance standards.\n5. Leadership & Management (Manager-level only)\nSupervise daily operations of laboratory teams and assign workload based on project priorities.\nOversee staffing schedules, including weekend or evening shifts when required.\nLead performance evaluations, enforce safety compliance, and manage cross-training to ensure flexibility within the team.\nCollaborate with senior management to plan resource allocation, project timelines, and capacity expansion strategies.\nQualifications\n1. Required\nBachelor’s degree in molecular biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.\nPractical experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, NGS library preparation, nucleic acid purification).\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data recording accuracy.\nFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIMS) and computer-based instrumentation.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\n2.
