PR000914-NM-2\n\nPsybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients.\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a Finance Technology team based in Sandton on a 12-months contract role. \n\nThis is a senior technical role focused on CI/CD, deployment automation, release management, environment management and DevOps engineering across a complex enterprise technology landscape.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with software developers, integration engineers, platform teams, testers, infrastructure teams and implementation partners to ensure applications and technology changes can be deployed consistently, securely and with full traceability.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nWhat you will be doing:\n\nDesign, implement and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.\n\nEstablish consistent deployment patterns across .NET applications, Azure services, integrations, databases and enterprise platforms.\n\nAutomate build, testing, packaging, deployment and release processes.\n\nEstablish and maintain effective Git, branching, pull request and code review practices.\n\nEnsure application and configuration versions are traceable across development, testing and production environments.\n\nSupport deployment and release management for .NET/C# applications and services.\n\nBuild deployment automation for Azure services and supporting infrastructure.\n\nImplement Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.\n\nSupport Azure configuration, secrets, certificates and service connections using secure practices.\n\nWork with Azure platform teams on networking, identity, security, monitoring and environment provisioning.\n\nDevelop controlled deployment approaches for enterprise ERP platforms and their associated integrations.\n\nSupport deployment automation and release management across Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) where applicable.\n\nManage deployment dependencies between ERP configuration, integrations, .NET applications, database changes and downstream systems.\n\nCoordinate releases across DEV, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production and Production environments.\n\nManage release dependencies across multiple applications, platforms and technology teams.\n\nEstablish release readiness checks and deployment runbooks.\n\nEnsure appropriate rollback, roll-forward and recovery procedures are in place.\n\nSupport major programme releases, cutovers and go-live activities.\n\nEnsure deployments comply with SDLC, cybersecurity, change management and segregation-of-duties requirements.\n\nMaintain end-to-end traceability from source code through build, testing, approval and production deployment.\n\nImplement automated quality and security gates within CI/CD pipelines.\n\nReduce manual deployment activity and configuration drift between environments.\n\nMaintain deployment logs and evidence required for audit and regulatory purposes.\n\nIntegrate deployment processes with monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities.\n\nSupport application teams with Azure monitoring and observability.\n\nTroubleshoot deployment and environment-related production incidents.\n\nDrive root-cause analysis for recurring deployment failures.\n\nContinuously improve deployment reliability, automation and recovery capability.\n\nProvide DevOps engineering guidance and standards to development teams.\n\nWork with system integrators and third parties to ensure solutions comply with internal DevOps and deployment standards.\n\nSupport knowledge transfer from programme implementation teams into internal engineering and support teams.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\nBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.\n\n7+ years' relevant technology experience, with significant experience in DevOps, release engineering or software engineering.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos and Artifacts.\n\nStrong experience with CI/CD and release processes.\n\nStrong experience deploying .NET/C# applications.\n\nStrong knowledge of Git and modern source-control practices.\n\nPractical experience with Microsoft Azure.\n\nExperience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.\n\nPractical experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or Bicep.\n\nExperience managing deployments across multiple enterprise environments.\n\nStrong understanding of application configuration, secrets and certificate management.\n\nExperience with SQL/database deployment and versioning.\n\nExperience supporting complex enterprise application or ERP deployments.\n\nStrong understanding of SDLC, change management, release management and production controls.\n\nExperience troubleshooting complex deployment and environment issues.\n\nExperience with PowerShell or other scripting technologies.\n\nBeneficial:\n\nOracle Fusion Cloud experience.\n\nOracle Integration Cloud (OIC) deployment experience.\n\nExperience implementing CI/CD and source control for Oracle Cloud artefacts.\n\nUnderstanding of Oracle Fusion APIs, integrations and BI Publisher.\n\nExperience working across hybrid Oracle and Microsoft/Azure architectures.\n\nExperience with automated testing integrated into deployment pipelines.\n\nExperience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights or equivalent observability tools.\n\nExperience working in banking, financial services or another regulated environment.\n\nExperience supporting major ERP transformation programmes and production cutovers.\n\nExperience with Octopus or Jenkins in addition to Azure DevOps.\n\nExperience with REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration environments.\n\nPlease note that if you do not hear from us
