You want to see what early-stage investing is like from the inside, and you can build things.\nThat second part matters. A large part of this role is building how PT1 works. We run on our own stack for sourcing, diligence and portfolio work, and people who've seen it call it the most advanced VC stack they know. You'll help us push it further.\nAbout PT1\nPT1 is an independent early-stage VC with offices in Berlin and London. We invest in companies that electrify energy and buildings, automate construction and industry, and make infrastructure more resilient.\nOur portfolio includes Voltfang, ecoworks, PlanRadar, Wunderflats, Terra One, Gendo, Beagle, Climate X and AUAR. We've invested alongside Visionaries, ForwardOne, Daphni, Insight Partners, Google Ventures, Zacua Ventures and Aenu.\nHow we work\nWe're a small team, and PT1 feels more like a well-funded startup than a classic fund. Everyone here has shaped the firm, from how we run diligence to which theses we chase to the tools we've built. That includes people who were only with us for a few months.\nThe job\nImprove our platform. Build and extend the tools, data pipelines and AI workflows the team uses every day. You'll own projects, not tickets.\n\nResearch markets and help develop investment theses. We start from a view on where a market is going, then look for the companies that fit it.\n\nWork on live deals with the team: screening, market and competitor research, first models, memo sections.\n\nHelp our portfolio companies on specific projects.\n\nAbout you\nStudying or recently graduated in engineering, CS, maths, natural sciences, or similar\n\nYou can build. Python, data, APIs, LLM tooling or whatever gets the job done.\n\nComfortable with numbers. Finance experience is a plus, not a requirement; we'll teach you how we model.\n\nInterested in energy, infrastructure, construction or automation\n\nFluent in English. German helps.\n\nAvailable full-time for six to nine months, based in Berlin\n\nRight to work in Germany\n\nWhat we offer\nDeal work and platform work from week one\n\nA stack you can actually change, and a team that will use what you build the next day\n\nA clear look at how early-stage investing works, so you'll know whether it's for you\n\nOur Berlin office with links to the London team\n\nA network across Europe's energy, infrastructure and automation scene that stays with you after you leave\n\nFind more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow","description_format":"text","description_chars":2663,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-30T19:33:30Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":24,"reasons":["seen:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-31T05:58:55Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/pt1-visiting-analyst-technical","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/pt1-visiting-analyst-technical.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-31T20:24:32Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":32077,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-01T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1603924},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1603924"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fpt1-visiting-analyst-technical"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fpt1-visiting-analyst-technical"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fpt1-visiting-analyst-technical"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/pt1-visiting-analyst-technical\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fpt1-visiting-analyst-technical"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3542207}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"pt1.ca","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3542207},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
