This role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, reducing operational costs, improving product quality, and maximizing throughput. The Process Engineer works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to standardize manufacturing processes and implement Lean and Six Sigma best practices.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIdentify and mitigate safety hazards in the manufacturing environment through proactive risk assessments and workplace audits.\nLead and support continuous improvement projects across machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.\nOptimize manufacturing process flow, cycle times, and material handling to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime.\nUtilize Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, SMED) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, SPC, RCA) to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.\nDevelop standardized work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools to improve operational consistency.\nConduct time studies, process capability analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations to support capital investment and ROI decisions.\nEngage with plant operators, technicians, and supervisors to gather process feedback and ensure frontline input is integrated into process improvements.\nTrack and report key process metrics including scrap rate, yield, production throughput, takt time, and labor utilization.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on the introduction of new equipment, process validation, and manufacturing scalability efforts.\nMinimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.\nMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial process engineering role.\nProven background in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma projects.\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.\nProficiency in manufacturing analytics, process simulation, and ERP/MES systems is a plus.\nNumber of Direct Reports: None\nJob Titles of Direct Reports: None\nQualifications\nCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Must possess a valid driver’s license for business travel.\nSkills and Abilities:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
