Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow - all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.\nJob Description (Senior) ·\nThe Senior Engineer is responsible for deployment automation for deploying enterprise software on public cloud providers. · \nEmployees at this level are helping to advance and modernize PTC's cloud competencies. \nA well-rounded technical/functional skill set, and deep knowledge of public and private cloud capabilities are ideal for this position. \nResponsibilities: ·\nLeverage experience to make recommendations on how to implement products in the cloud (private and public) · \nBuild Deployment Automation to realize the chosen architecture. · Continuously improve the teams cloud capabilities in the areas of deployment automation, monitoring, log management, etc. · \nDevelop training and handoff material for supporting cloud functions (NOC, Incident Management, Sales, etc.) · \nWork with R&D to develop standards for cloud readiness and product handoff procedures ·\nCollaborate with portfolio team to bring new capabilities to the cloud offerings. \nAdditional Job Description Required Skills and Knowledge: ·\nAbility to understand and build high level cloud architectures. ·\nWillingness to learn and experiment with cutting edge cloud technologies.\nPreferred Experience with following technologies: ·\nBasic command line Linux Skills · \nObject Oriented Programming (Java, Python, Ruby, C#) · \nKubernetes · Serverless Technologies (such as AWS Lambda's) · \nSingle Sign On (PingFederate (preferred). · \nPublic Cloud providers (Azure and/or AWS). · \nDeployment technologies: Terraform (preferred), SaltStack (preferred), Chef, Ansible, Puppet · \nMonitoring: PSM/Dynatrace (preferred), Zabbix, Datadog. · \nLoad Balancing: Azure App Gateway, AWS ELB/ALB, nginx, haproxy Basic \nQualifications: ·\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering / Computer Science ·\n5 - 8 years of software industry experience \n·3 to 5 year of public cloud experience \nLife at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
