You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, and Customer Success to deliver documentation that functions as part of the product experience.\nWhat You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)\nAI-Driven Content Strategy: Leverage Generative AI tools to automate documentation processes, improve content accuracy, and accelerate content development velocity.\nDocumentation Development: Create, review, and maintain high-impact product documentation, including user guides and release notes for complex enterprise software.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and UX designers to align documentation with product roadmaps and user needs.\nWorkflow Innovation: Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through AI, such as implementing AI-driven analytics to identify content gaps.\nGovernance and Standards: Ensure all content adheres to writing style guides and maintains high standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy.\nRequired Skills And Experience\nDocumentation and domain experience\n5+ years creating documentation for enterprise software (ERP/CRM/large-scale business applications).\nWorking knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Siebel, PeopleSoft, or Oracle.\nProven ability to deliver high-quality documentation with broad objectives and minimal supervision.\nTechnical communication excellence\nStrong command of information development: content planning, authoring, review, publishing.\nDeep understanding of technical writing principles such as topic-based authoring, minimalism, and task-oriented design.\nExperience with structured authoring, modular content development, single-sourcing, and content reuse.\nExcellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.\nStrong technical aptitude; able to learn complex systems quickly and accurately.\nStrong time management and ability to deliver across parallel workstreams.\nTools and standards\nHands-on experience with structured authoring tools such as Arbortext Editor.\nExperience working with one or more style guides (e.g., Microsoft Manual of Style).\nExposure to SaaS / cloud-based business applications.\nAI and modern documentation\nPractical experience with AI-assisted writing (drafting, summarization, editing, optimization) with strong judgment and accountability.\nAbility to apply AI responsibly to improve quality, consistency, speed, and reuse.\nComfortable experimenting with new tools and continuously improving documentation workflows.\nNice to Have\nAdvanced experience with Arbortext Editor.\nExposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.\nExperience using analytics, feedback loops, or content performance signals to improve documentation effectiveness.\nHow To Stand Out (What To Include)\nPortfolio, writing samples, or a public knowledge base/tech blog.\nA short note on your favourite product documentation and why it works (structure, clarity, IA, visuals, tone, task flow, etc.).\nLife at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
