In this role, you will be a core individual contributor and a critical partner to engineering teams and product managers in designing, developing, and enhancing various Field Service application modules within the ServiceMax ecosystem.\nYou will provide technical leadership through design and architecture guidance while building scalable, high-quality enterprise applications. This position requires working in a fast-paced, agile environment where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that support ServiceMax's vision and strategy.\nAdditionally, the role offers exposure to modern AI-powered workflows and content management processes, enabling engineers to leverage automation and intelligent systems to improve operational efficiency and product delivery.\nDesired Skills\nTechnical Skills\n2+ years of experience developing enterprise applications on the Salesforce PaaS platform.\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and application of SOLID principles.\nHands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Framework, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced JavaScript.\nStrong expertise in Salesforce Data Modeling, Apex programming, SOQL/SOSL, and platform customization.\nExperience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and external systems.\nSolid understanding of core data structures, algorithms, and their implementation using Apex and/or Java.\nKnowledge of application performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.\nFamiliarity with build, release, deployment, and CI/CD processes within the Salesforce ecosystem.\nAwareness of current and emerging trends within the Salesforce ecosystem.\nDomain & Additional Skills\nField Service, CRM, or Service Management domain knowledge is an advantage.\nExperience working with Git-based repositories, version control systems, and content management workflows.\nExposure to AI-powered automation tools, AI agents, or workflow orchestration platforms is desirable.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently and effectively navigate ambiguity.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nSalesforce Development & Engineering\nDesign, develop, and deliver complex Salesforce components and features end-to-end.\nMake informed technology decisions based on technical evaluation, scalability, maintainability, and business impact.\nBreak down complex problems into manageable technical solutions and provide accurate effort estimations.\nDevelop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code adhering to Salesforce best practices and coding standards.\nExplore, evaluate, and implement alternative technologies and solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.\nDesign and implement robust data models, Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and integrations.\nAssess application performance and identify optimization opportunities to improve scalability and user experience.\nTroubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues in production and sandbox environments.\nCollaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.\nSupport build, release, deployment, and CI/CD activities.\nRepository & Content Management\nHandle the day-to-day uploading, organization, formatting, and maintenance of content assets within Git-based repositories and content management workflows.\nEnsure repository hygiene through proper version control, branching strategies, documentation, and content governance practices.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and product-related content.\nMonitor repository integrity and support efficient content lifecycle management processes.\nAI Agent Workflow Operations\nRun, monitor, and troubleshoot multi-step AI agent workflows used for content drafting, data gathering, classification, and automated tagging.\nCollaborate with engineering and product teams to improve AI-assisted workflows and process automation.\nAnalyze workflow outputs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.\nSupport the adoption of AI-driven productivity tools and best practices within the development ecosystem.\nCollaboration & Innovation\nDrive effective collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams.\nResearch emerging technologies and contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement.\nDemonstrate ownership, accountability, and a continuous learning mindset.\nNavigate ambiguity effectively and proactively drive solutions to completion.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSalesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.\nExperience with Salesforce Field Service or ServiceMax platform.\nExposure to AI agents, workflow automation platforms, or Generative AI applications.\nKnowledge of DevOps tools, Git, GitHub/GitLab, and automated deployment practices.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.\nLife at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
