This role focuses on building scalable, reliable, and user-focused solutions that power self-guided learning, instructor-led training, certifications, and learning analytics.\nYou will work closely with product managers, UX designers, instructional designers, and enablement stakeholders to translate learning and business needs into high-quality software solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform Development & Enhancement\nDesign, develop, and maintain features within the LearningConnector platform, including learning delivery, enrollment, certification tracking, notifications, and reporting.\nImplement scalable backend services and APIs to support learning workflows and system integrations.\nBuild and enhance frontend experiences to improve learner and administrator usability.\nSystems Integration\nIntegrate LearningConnector with enterprise systems such as CRM, identity management (SSO), content repositories, analytics platforms, and third-party learning tools.\nEnsure reliable data flows for learner activity, completion tracking, and certification records.\nQuality, Performance & Security\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.\nEnsure platform reliability, performance, and security, including monitoring, logging, and proactive issue resolution.\nParticipate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement efforts.\nCollaboration & Stakeholder Engagement\nCollaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and instructional designers to deliver solutions aligned to learning and business objectives.\nSupport operational teams by addressing defects, enhancements, and platform optimization requests.\nContribute technical input to roadmap planning and architectural decisions.\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement\nEvaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve learning platform scalability and efficiency.\nSupport experimentation with AI-driven capabilities, automation, and personalization within LearningConnector.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n3+ years of experience in software development, preferably with SaaS or enterprise platforms.\nExperience with modern backend technologies (e.g., REST APIs, microservices, cloud-based architectures).\nExperience with frontend development frameworks and responsive UI design.\nProficiency with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data integration patterns.\nFamiliarity with authentication/authorization, SSO, and secure application development.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with learning management systems (LMS), learning experience platforms (LXP), or education technology.\nExperience integrating enterprise systems (CRM, analytics, identity providers).\nExposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.\nExperience supporting global platforms with localization and regional requirements.\nInterest in or experience applying AI/automation to content delivery, analytics, or personalization.\nExperience working in agile or product-based development teams.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nNew LearningConnector features are delivered on time, with high quality and adoption.\nPlatform performance, reliability, and usability continuously improve.\nIntegrations enable seamless learner and business workflows.\nStakeholders view LearningConnector as a scalable, strategic platform supporting enablement and growth.\nEmployment Type\nInitial engagement will be as a Direct Contractor.\nThe role is expected to work closely with the LearningConnector product and engineering teams as an integrated member of the development organization.\nContinued engagement will be based on business needs, performance, and organizational requirements.\nLife at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
