This includes, but may not be limited to, the accurate and timely review, verification and processing of vendor invoices and payments. He/she also maintains an organized filing system, assists with AP documentation, process improvements, reporting and projects as needed and conducts all assignments in accordance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) guidelines.The incumbent works cross-functionally with internal departments and external resources on Accounts Payable related issues.\nThe Contractor, Accounts Payable Specialist supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.\nJob Description:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPrimary duties/responsibilities:\nReviews invoices for compliance with company policies and signature authority limits and processes invoices and related vendor documents (i.e., purchase orders, goods receipts, etc.); reconciles and codes invoices and ensures invoices are appropriately approved.\nEnsures proper record retention of A/P documentation including but not limited to maintaining vendor files and accurately e-filing invoices and related documents.\nAccurately enters transactions into PTC’s accounting system and records any adjustments.\nPrepares weekly ACH, Checks and wire transfer requests and creates and maintains bank templates.\nAssists with reporting and month, quarter, and year-end close processes.\nBuilds and maintains positive internal and external relationships while researching and resolving invoicing issues.\nHandle ERP workflow exceptions and clear them from the system according to the established procedures.\nPerform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management. \nKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED\nMinimum level of education and years of relevant work experience.\nA Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related Business discipline is preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of current, related Accounts Payable or Accounting experience, ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry. An equivalent combination of experience and/or education will also be considered.\nSpecial knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required.\nFamiliarity with taxes and three-way matching (i.e., purchase orders, invoices, and receipts). \nExcellent customer service skills. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically excel.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.\nAnalytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. \nExcellent planning, organization and time management skills include the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects. \n*Special knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates preferred.\nExperience working in a small, but fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.\nPrior experience processing high-volume invoices and payments in ERP and Accounting systems such as SAP, Ariba, etc.\nKnowledge of OCR based invoice capture and processing systems is a plus.\nExperience working in a SOX regulated environment. \nTravel requirements\n0% \nExpected Hourly Range:\n$30 - $36/hour.
