This individual collaborates closely with a range of cross-functional stakeholders including North America commercial stakeholders, other G&A functions, and other members of the finance and accounting functions. Key deliverables for this role are forecasts, budgets, monthly accruals & business commentary, as well as financial strategy.The incumbent works cross-functionally on Financial Planning and Analysis related issues. S/He also works closely with the corporate accounting organization to ensure proper expense recognition and compliance with internal controls.\nThe Associate Manager, North America Commercial & Medical Affairs Finance ensures adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.\nJob Description:\nResponsibilities:\nBuilds and maintains strong working relationships with commercial & Medical Affairs stakeholders, and finance management. Acts as a trusted business partner for North America colleagues, particularly on finance matters.\nServes as one point of contact for business partners on all Finance & Accounting topics.\nLeads annual OPEX budget preparation and provides periodic forecast updates by partnering with relevant areas in the organization.\nCreates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis reports and dashboards, focusing on key drivers and helping to articulate the ‘story’ behind the numbers.\nMaintains close communication with budget owners to ensure timely understanding of risk factors and opportunities that may impact forecasts.\nSupports the monthly closing process, which may include preparing journal entries for accruals and reclassifications.\nPrepares applicable management reporting, KPI and audit schedules as necessary.\nProvides an accurate understanding of financial results, working with the broader finance team to ensure the correct accounting treatment is applied.\nMaintains standard reporting tools to help identify key risks and opportunities.\nSupports financial and business controls and standards including SOX requirements.\nSupports special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as necessary.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting discipline and a minimum of 5 years relevant financial planning and analysis experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment OR equivalent combination of experience and/or education.\nDemonstrated ability to think strategically and contribute business input to an established group of cross-functional professionals.\nDemonstrated accounting and financial reporting experience.\nDemonstrated understanding of, and experience performing financial modeling, forecasting, and budget related activities.\nCommitted to the timeline-driven process associated with reporting, annual budget, forecasts, and other ad hoc projects.\nDemonstrated self-starter with strong attention to detail.\nDemonstrated hands-on success executing month-end closing activities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically possessing excellent comfort with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfort having a voice in larger team meetings.\nDesire to learn about the business to partner with stakeholders more effectively.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.\nAnalytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.\nWillingness to leverage company specific AI platform to find efficiencies\nExcellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.\nSpecial knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates preferred.\nExperience with SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, generative AI models\nTravel requirements: 2% - 10%\nExpected Base Salary Range:\n$96,000 - $115,000. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity.\nIn addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives.
