Reporting to the Assoc. Manager Accounting LATAM, the Accounting Analyst will support LATAM region.\nThe incumbent works cross-functionally with internal departments and external resources on accounting related issues.\nThe Accounting analyst supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nSupport on preparing the financial reports (monthly, quarterly and annual)\nPrepare general accounting journal entries.\nPrepares and maintains balance sheet reconciliations, accounting controls as provisions, GAAP differences etc\nPayroll accounting review\nSupport the accounting and tax closing process for the LATAM region\nAnalyze variances in expenses, costs, and sales, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement\nCoordinate activities performed by local outsourced accounting firms, ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to deadlines\nMonitor and review accounting reconciliations prepared by third parties\nSupport external and internal audits, including preparing documentation, addressing requests, and implementing action plans\nParticipate in projects focused on process improvement, activity automation, and strengthening internal controls\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting\nExperience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit or Controllership functions, preferably within a multinational environment.\nSelf-motivated and self-driven, possessing excellent project management skills and superior attention to detail.\nLanguages: must be able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written). Spanish is a plus.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.\nHands on profile and committed with deadlines with a huge sense of urgency.\nAnalytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.\nExcellent planning, organization and time management skills include the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.\nDemonstrated ability to lead discussions with external auditors, consultants and outsourced accounting providers.\nEEO Statement:\nPTC Therapeutics is an equal opportunity employer.
