The firm’s primary operational hubs are in Denver, Colorado, and Naperville, Illinois, with other offices throughout the United States.\nJob Summary:\nThe Sales Development Representative supports the Texas Regional Sales Head by generating new business opportunities across the state. You’ll identify Texas public entities reach out to decision-makers, and set qualified appointments for the sales team.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nTrack new bond issues in Texas and identify the cities, counties, school districts and special districts behind them. \nQualify event lists and properly qualify leads from sales teams events. This will include over 40 events a year attended by the Texas Sales Team. \nQualify regional opportunities and coordinate with the sales team to schedule sales activities including presentations, lunch and learns, or other activities. \nMake outbound calls and send emails to finance directors, treasurers and other public-sector decision-makers. \nQualify interest and schedule appointments for the Regional Sales Head and sales team. \nKeep accurate prospect, activity and pipeline records in Salesforce. \nWork with the Regional Sales Head on territory priorities, call lists and follow-up. \nFollow all firm compliance policies for outreach and recordkeeping. \nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nStrong understanding of public finance, including municipal bonds and how public entities manage and invest funds. \nStrong phone presence and the confidence to make high-volume outbound calls. \nOrganized, self-directed and comfortable working toward activity goals. \nEducation and Experience:\nSalesforce experience (required). \nApplicable licensing (required). \n1-3+ years of experience in sales, business development or a related role. \nFamiliarity with Texas public entities and existing relationships with local finance officials. \nInvolvement in the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas (GFOAT), the Government Treasurers’ Organization of Texas (GTOT), Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), or Texas Association of Counties (TAC).\nPhysical Requirements: Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time.
