The programme combines practical workplace experience with academic learning, allowing you to earn a salary while working towards a recognised qualification.\nOver three years, you will gain hands-on experience in the Retail Banking function, advising customers and working alongside experienced professionals, all while studying for a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Banking and Financial Services, accredited by UCD. Within the first year of the programme, you will complete the Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) designation, providing a strong foundation for your career.\nThe Programme combines meaningful workplace learning with academic study, you will graduate with a recognised qualification while gaining the skills, knowledge, and professional confidence to a build a successful career in Financial Services and Banking.\nThroughout the programme, you will be supported by a Line Manager, a dedicated Mentor and key contacts within the Institute of Banking (IOB).\nResponsibilities:\nWork on-site either at your assigned PTSB branch or PTSB’s Digital & Direct team in St. Stephens Green Contact Centre four days per week and attend IOB/UCD classes, either in person or online, one day per week.\nWhen you join you will attend a 4-week bootcamp with IOB. Following bootcamp completion, you will hold Accredited Product Advisor (APA) designation in Loans. PTSB induction will commence following the 4-week bootcamp.\nComplete programme assessments and academic requirements throughout the apprenticeship.\nAchieve the Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) designation during Year 1 of the programme.\nProgress towards a UCD-accredited BSc in Banking and Financial Services.\nCarry out day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to your team’s objectives.\nGain exposure to Retail Banking and develop your customer, commercial, and financial services knowledge.\nSupport and advise customers with day-to-day banking queries and service needs. Learn how to identify customer needs and provide appropriate banking solutions.\nBuild knowledge across PTSB’s products and services.\nSupport colleagues in delivering excellent customer experiences, through thoughtful insights to PTSBs products and services and how they best support our customer’s needs.\nBuild professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced customer experiences.\nSupport team, department and bank-wide initiatives as opportunities arise.\nRequirements:\nYou must be 18 years of age on or before 31st August 2027.\nLeaving Certificate Entry Requirements: Applicants must have achieved, or be on track to achieve: A minimum of two H5 grades (Higher Level). Plus, a minimum of four O6/H7 grades in the remaining subjects.\nLegally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction** for the duration of the programme (October 2027 - October 2030). **Without restriction refers to candidates who: (i) will have a visa in place which will be valid for the entirety of the 36 months (3 years) duration of the programme without any change in permission type required; and (ii) do not require any financial sponsorship from PTSB for a work visa from October 2027 - October 2030.\nYou must be committed to completing the BSc in Banking and Financial Services while working with PTSB and committed to achieving the Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) designation during Year 1 of the programme.\nAll apprentices who join the programme must have access to a personal laptop, Chromebook, or other compatible device for the duration for the programme.\nThis is a 3-year Fixed Term Contract based in the Dublin Region.\nIs this you?\nPlease apply online on our website or via the apply link for this role.
