We are looking for an experienced Freelance Project Manager who has strong product management instincts and knows how to run client engagements from first conversation to final delivery.\nThis is a part-time, hourly-based contractor role, offering flexibility for an experienced Project Manager who is looking to work with a global digital agency on a freelance basis.\nThis is not a purely administrative project management role. We need someone who understands how digital products are built, can challenge requirements, run discovery, and make sure what gets shipped actually solves the right problem for the client.\nWhat You'll Do\nManage multiple client projects simultaneously across different industries and time zones, keeping scope, timelines, and budgets on track.\nWork with clients to define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria from the very start of an engagement.\nLead the discovery phase with new clients, asking the right questions to understand their business needs before anything gets built.\nBreak down complex requirements into manageable iterations that the engineering team can execute against.\nOwn and maintain project documentation, backlogs, and roadmaps to keep everyone aligned throughout delivery.\nRun Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.\nKeep clients informed with regular, clear updates on project status, risks, and decisions.\nScope and price new engagements, contribute to project proposals, and support the presales process.\nWork closely with design, engineering, and QA to make sure delivered features meet client expectations and real user needs.\nMonitor project health using relevant KPIs and flag risks before they become problems.\nTest completed features to verify they meet the agreed requirements before delivery.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field.\nAt least 4 years of project management experience in a digital agency environment.\nHands-on experience with the presales process including writing proposals, scoping projects, and running discovery workshops.\nStrong understanding of how digital products are built and a product management mindset to go with it.\nExperience managing backlogs, writing user stories, and working within an Agile delivery process.\nComfort challenging client requirements and advocating for solutions that solve the actual business problem.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects and clients at the same time without dropping the ball.\nBackground in Web3/DeFi, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce is a strong plus.\nFamiliarity with project and product management tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar.\nAbility work across US and European time zones.\nFluent English at C1 level or above with strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work.\nExperience working with distributed international teams across multiple countries and time zones.\nCore Skills\nEnd to end project delivery in an agency setting\nClient relationship management and expectation setting\nDiscovery, scoping, and proposal writing\nBacklog management, user stories, and Agile ceremonies\nProduct thinking and requirements validation\nBudget and timeline management\nClear communication with both technical teams and non-technical clients\nAbility to work across cultures and international teams\nBenefits\nFully remote from anywhere\nHourly-based compensation\nFlexible working hours and an async-friendly culture\nLearning & Development opportunities\npubGENIUS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
