You’ll work closely with our UK-based finance team, supporting day-to-day finance operations, month-end close, and management reporting.\nThis role is a mix of hands-on transactional finance and analytical work. You’ll help keep our books accurate, process invoices and payments, support month-end journals and reconciliations, and pull together reports that help leadership make better decisions.\nIf you’re organised, accurate, and enjoy working with numbers in a fast-moving business, this role is a great fit.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonth-End & Management Accounting\nSupport the month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.\n\nCarry out balance sheet reconciliations and resolve queries in a timely way.\n\nMaintain accurate records in Xero and keep the chart of accounts tidy.\n\nAssist with year-end audit preparation when required.\n\nReporting & Analysis\nHelp prepare monthly management reports, including P&L, variance commentary, and KPI tracking.\n\nBuild and maintain Excel/Google Sheets trackers to monitor revenue, costs, and cash.\n\nFlag trends, anomalies, or risks to the wider finance team.\n\nAccounts Payable & Receivable\nProcess supplier invoices accurately and on time in Xero.\n\nPrepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.\n\nRaise sales invoices and support credit control / chasing overdue payments.\n\nReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and expense claims.\n\nGeneral Finance Support\nRespond to internal finance queries from across the business.\n\nHelp document and improve finance processes and SOPs.\n\nSupport ad hoc projects as the finance function grows.\n\nProcess Improvements\nWork to consistently improve processes over time.\n\nUse AI tools to speed up and improve your output over time.\n\nEssential Skills & Experience\n2-4 years’ experience in a finance role covering management accounts, AP/AR, and reporting.\n\nStrong Excel / Google Sheets skills - confident with formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.\n\nFluent written and spoken English, with the confidence to communicate clearly with a UK-based team.\n\nAccurate, organised, and able to manage your own workload to deadlines.\n\nComfortable working UK hours and fully remotely.\n\nDesired Skills & Attributes\nHands-on experience with Xero\n\nExperience working with a UK-based business or international finance team.\n\nExposure to media, digital, or creative industries.\n\nFamiliarity with reporting tools (e.g. Looker Studio, Power BI) or AI tools for finance workflows.\n\nAI forward individual, experienced with tools like Claude\n\nWhy Pubity Group?\nWe are the world’s biggest Gen Z publisher, built on culture, community, and creativity.
