We are expanding our creative team to enhance our consistent and engaging visual brand presence.\n Public Storage is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead analytics capabilities for our Real Estate Finance organization. This role will drive the modernization of our financial reporting infrastructure, develop advanced analytical models, and build self-service analytics capabilities that empower Finance teams with timely, accurate insights for strategic decision-making.\nAs a key individual contributor in a management capacity, this position will play a critical role in supporting our evolving analytics and reporting capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting & Data Infrastructure\nDevelop and maintain Real Estate Finance BI reports and dashboards.\nDesign and build Power BI dashboards from the ground up, including data modeling, report development, visualization design, and end-user reporting experiences.\nEnsure data accuracy and integrity through enhanced validation and reconciliation processes.\nSupport ongoing analytics platform improvements and enterprise initiatives.\nApply a strong understanding of financial statements, including the ability to read, interpret, and help build P&L models that support business performance analysis and reporting.\nAdvanced Analytics & Strategic Insights\nDevelop advanced analytical models, including forecasting, variance analysis, and portfolio performance assessments, using Python, statistical methods, and Excel.\nCreate executive-level dashboards that surface actionable insights for portfolio strategy and investment decisions.\nDeliver regular insights briefings to Real Estate Finance leadership with data-driven strategic recommendations.\nMaintain high stakeholder satisfaction with quality and timeliness of analytics deliverables.\nTranslate financial and operational data into insights by leveraging a solid understanding of profit and loss drivers, budgeting logic, and financial modeling principles.\nTechnology & Platform Development\nSupport cloud-based analytics platform adoption and implementation.\nBring an understanding of and exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, to support scalable data workflows and modern analytics solutions.\nDevelop production-grade solutions to support data infrastructure and analytics automation.\nContribute to enterprise data governance framework and analytics standards.\nSelf-Service Analytics & Team Enablement\nEmpower stakeholders to self-serve via various tools.\nReduce ad-hoc report requests through proactive dashboard development and user enablement.\nPartner with Finance leadership to define KPIs and metrics framework for Real Estate portfolio performance tracking.\nBuild reporting solutions that align financial metrics, portfolio performance indicators, and business planning needs.\nStrategic Collaboration & Innovation\nDirectly present results & insights while being able to elaborate on data logic to executives and stakeholders.\nPartner closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives.\nParticipate in cross-functional knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement efforts.\nInvestigate and evaluate emerging analytics opportunities including AI/ML applications.\n Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field\n7+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial analysis\nHave worked with LLMs to develop AI Agents and/or leveraged AI to develop Python tools to automate data analysis, and production-grade business solutions\nStrong SQL and data modeling capabilities, including the ability to develop and govern the foundational data assets that support semantic layers, and business intelligence solutions such as Power BI. Must be able to create trusted, reusable datasets that bridge business requirements with reporting and decision-making needs\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including the ability to work with cloud-based analytics environments and modern data platforms\nIn depth understanding of financial reporting cycles, portfolio analysis, P&L modeling, and industry knowledge, including the ability to read, interpret, and help build profit and loss models\nExperience with data warehouse architecture, data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data preparation tools\nExceptional communication skills which will be a key component of simplifying complex data concepts while empowering business users on self-service analytics\nCollaborative approach with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, IT, and business units\nDemonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment, with a proactive, accountable, “own it” attitude\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs\n Public Storage is an equal opportunity employer and embraces diversity.
