You will act as a senior technical authority within the network engineering organization, guiding architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving the development of scalable, automated, and highly available network solutions that support Epsilon’s global production environment.\nEpsilon’s network spans multiple global datacenters, hybrid multi-cloud environments, MPLS connectivity, Internet peering infrastructure, and low-latency application delivery platforms that support high-performance advertising technology workloads operating 24x7x365. As a Lead Network Engineer, you will translate business and technical requirements into network architecture and design, implementing industry guidelines, operational standards, and automation at scale.\nThis role requires deep expertise in datacenter networking, routing, switching, traffic management, and network security, combined with strong troubleshooting capabilities and experience operating in a highly distributed production environment. datacenter and hybrid cloud environments.\nTranslate business and application requirements into scalable, high-performance network architectures supporting low-latency workloads and large-scale data processing platforms.\nDesign and deploy secure hybrid multi-cloud connectivity architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP using standard processes for routing, segmentation, and high availability.\nDevelop and implement network automation frameworks using Python and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible to manage network configurations at scale.\nArchitect and optimize datacenter network fabrics using modern technologies such as VXLAN, ECMP, and high-speed Ethernet (10/40/100/400Gbps).\nLead engineering efforts to deploy and optimize traffic management platforms including enterprise load balancing and traffic steering technologies.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers while promoting best practices, documentation standards, and automation-first operational models.\nServe as a technical escalation point for complex network incidents impacting production services across LAN, WAN, Internet, and cloud connectivity.\nDesign and implement network security solutions including segmentation, firewall architectures, and intrusion prevention systems to protect critical infrastructure.\nCollaborate with SRE, cloud engineering, security, and platform teams to ensure infrastructure meets performance, security, and compliance requirements.\nEvaluate emerging networking technologies and drive adoption of solutions that improve performance, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.\nWork with vendors and internal teams to manage projects from architecture through implementation and operational support.\nCoordinate and implement network maintenance activities, upgrades, and change management processes with clear communication and minimal business impact.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.\nParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.\nProvide operational support for the global production network, ensuring availability and performance of critical services.\nQualifications\nWho You Are:\nWhat you’ll bring with you:\n8-12+ years of experience supporting enterprise or service-provider scale production networks with 24x7 operational requirements.\nStrong expertise in WAN routing topologies, datacenter switching architecture, VPN technologies, firewalling, and traffic management solutions.\nDeep working knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including: Ethernet (10/40/100/400Gbps)\nBGP\nOSPF\n Spanning Tree (RSTP, MSTP, PVST+)\nLACP\nIPSec\nDHCP\nDNS\nSNMP\nIPv6\n TCP optimiz ation and performance tuning\n\nExperience designing and operating secure hybrid multi-cloud network architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.\nSolid experience with cloud connectivity models including Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and private interconnect architectures.\nProficiency in network automation using Python, and experience building automation workflows for provisioning, monitoring, and configuration management.\nExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.\nHands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms including:Cisco Catalyst routers and switches\nCisco Nexus datacenter platforms\nDell Force10 switches\nArista network platforms\n\nExperience designing and operating enterprise load balancing platforms, including:\nF5 BIG-IPCitrix NetScaler\n\nExperience with network virtualization technologies including VXLAN and MPLS.\nSolid background in network security architecture, including traditional and next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto Networks.\nExperience working with enterprise network observability and monitoring platforms including:SolarWinds NPM / NCM\nExtraHop\nAlgoSec\nNetBrain\n\nDemonstrable ability solve issues across network, operating system, and application layers.\nSolid experience working with vendors to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement solutions.\nExperience coordinating and performing network upgrades, maintenance windows, and production changes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.\nSelf-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision while driving projects forward.\nCisco CCNP certification preferred; additional certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, or cloud providers are highly desirable.\nAbility to support after-hours maintenance and occasional travel when required.\nWhy you might
