You will design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable data engineering solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. Your primary responsibilities will include developing reliable batch and streaming pipelines, transforming large data sets, and delivering governed, high-quality data products for analytics, marketing, and CRM use cases.\nWork together to win together: The Senior Databricks Developer will report to a Senior Manager, Development. You will partner with Quality Assurance, Business Systems Analysts, Project Managers, data architects, and client delivery teams to translate business requirements into secure, supportable data solutions.\nInnovate with purpose: As part of the technical delivery team, you will use Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and modern engineering practices to design reusable frameworks, improve pipeline performance, automate deployments, and implement solutions according to statement-of-work requirements and timelines.\nResponsibilities\nWhat You’ll Achieve\nImpact: You will integrate and transform client data at scale, enabling targeted marketing campaigns, customer analytics, reporting, and custom CRM solutions through trusted Lakehouse data products.\nCareer Growth: If successful, the Senior Databricks Developer may gain exposure to additional clients and complex data modernization initiatives. You may also have an opportunity to progress to a Lead Databricks Developer role, mentor junior engineers, establish engineering standards, and strengthen technical leadership skills.\nQualifications\nWho You Are\nWhat you’ll bring with you:\nStrong experience working as part of a technology team, translating business requirements and functional specifications into technical designs, source-to-target mappings, data flows, and operational documentation.\nHands-on experience developing scalable ETL and ELT pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, and SQL, including ingestion from files, APIs, relational databases, cloud object storage, and streaming sources.\nExperience designing Delta Lake solutions using bronze, silver, and gold data layers; implementing schema enforcement and evolution; and applying data quality, reconciliation, unit testing, and validation controls.\nExperience optimizing Spark workloads through appropriate partitioning, file sizing, caching, join strategies, cluster configuration, and query tuning. Working knowledge of Databricks Workflows, Jobs, notebooks, repos, and production support practices is required.\nInitiative - You possess a strong can-do attitude, take ownership of tasks and deliverables, and independently learn new Databricks capabilities, cloud services, and client domains.\nProblem Solving - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose data, code, performance, and production pipeline issues quickly and methodically.\nCollaboration - Proven experience working across engineering, QA, architecture, analysis, project management, and client teams.
