Will assist team members with new builds in remote sites. Work with different departments within the company to deploy new environments. Maintaining a clean and organized data center is a must.\nPosition Title: Data Center Engineer\nEmployment Location: On-site, 5 days a week\nAshburn, VA\n\nEmployment Type: Full-Time Employee (Salaried)\nAnnual Salary: $63,600 - $118,000\nResponsibilities\nDaily Job Duties:\nHardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.\nSolve issues and repair data center hardware and networking infrastructure. \nRack and stack of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems and other equipment.\nRack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up and handoff of servers to internal provisioning teams.\nMonitoring of DC environments using monitoring tools\nMonitoring and respond in a ticketing environment that is used and monitored by multiple internal owners and teams.\nDocumentation of activities and create/modify SOPs.\nDecommission life cycle of data center hardware.\nInventory process, order replacement parts and return failed parts as required.\nStructured cabling, labelling, and resolving faults in fiber/copper/telecom cables.\nSystem power supplies and cabling installation, identify and fix problems and repair.\nBe able to complete small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and delivering larger local projects.\nResponsibilities:\nShow professionalism on your daily data center routine activities. \nReceive/ship data center equipment as needed.\nInstall, remove, and fix hardware in data centers racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site.\nMaintain asset inventory and update internal applications as needed.\nBe accessible via cell phone and willing to work onsite as needed.\nParticipate and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies.\nAct within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\n5 Years data center experience\nKnowledge of Dell PowerEdge Servers\nKnowledge of Dell iDRAC \nKnowledge of data center power types and standards\nAbility to lift 75 pounds.\nPreferred Qualifications\nLinux OS experience\nRACADM CLI\nDell Openmanage Enterprise experience\nRequirements:\nKnowledge of server/storage/network hardware.\nExcellent time management skills.\nDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.\nBe a good teammate.\nStrong interest in learning new DC concepts.\nDependable and trustworthy.\nProcess oriented.\nMust be able to lift 75 lbs.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nRequired Skills:\n5+ years working in an IT environment.\nTroubleshooting Experience on servers, networking devices and IT equipment.\nInventory management experience.
