In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize backend systems that power large-scale ad delivery, targeting, and reporting. You will also have the opportunity to leverage AI and Generative AI technologies to create intelligent solutions that enhance ad generation, optimization, and personalization, driving measurable impact in digital advertising. \nWhat You'll Do:\nAbility to create and present design reviews independently, translating feature requirements into robust technical designs.\nEnd-to-end ownership of solution design, development, testing, planning, execution, and release for feature requirements.\nExperience and/or knowledge of Java 11 or higher.\nProficiency in SQL and relational databases, including complex queries, performance optimization, schema design, indexing, and stored procedures.\nStrong knowledge of Data Structures and OOPS concepts.\nHands-on experience with Core Java and J2EE technologies (Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/MyBatis).\nKnowledge and practical experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.\nStrong understanding of CI/CD concepts, including pipeline creation, automation, integration, and deployment workflows.\nHands-on experience with tools/technologies like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, GIT, and Docker.\nExperience in REST Web Service development.\nProficiency in using generative AI-based tools and IDEs to boost productivity and code quality.\nDetailed knowledge of different AI models and advanced prompt engineering techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively in software development\nExperience in JUnit and unit testing best practices.\nExperience working on high-performance and scalable systems (preferred).\nFamiliarity with UI technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.\nFamiliarity with Test Driven Development (TDD), refactoring, code reviews, continuous integration/delivery, and Agile development practices.\nWe'd Love for You to Have:\n\n3-5 years of experience in Java and Linux/UNIX environments.\nUnderstanding of advanced AI concepts, including RAG, agentic AI, and model fine-tuning.\nUse best practices of Agile-based software development and documentation, ensure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work.\nDemonstrated ability to be self-driven and work independently.\nDemonstrate work ownership and focus to deliver on time.\nWilling to go the extra mile to achieve greater results.\nWork with teams to achieve desired goals.\nQualification:\nShould have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent degree from a well-known institute/university. \nAdditional Information:\nReturn to Office: PubMatic employees throughout the globe have returned to our offices via a hybrid work schedule (3 days “in office” and 2 days “working remotely”) that is intended to maximize collaboration, innovation, and productivity among teams and across functions.\nBenefits: Our benefits package includes the best of what leading organizations provide, such as paternity/maternity leave, healthcare insurance, broadband reimbursement.
