You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Lifecycle Marketing to identify friction points, improve onboarding experiences, and run experiments that help developers succeed faster.\nSuccess means reducing time-to-value, improving activation and retention, and increasing the number of developers who progress from experimentation to meaningful product usage and paid adoption.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn and optimise the developer onboarding journey, from signup and first API key through first successful integration and paid conversion.\nAnalyse developer journeys, conversion funnels, user behaviour, and drop-off points to identify opportunities for improvement.\nDesign, prioritise, and run experiments to improve onboarding completion, activation, and conversion rates.\nPartner with Product and Engineering to improve quickstarts, documentation journeys, sample applications, and first-use experiences.\nDevelop onboarding campaigns, lifecycle communications, and contextual guidance that help developers reach their next milestone.\nExplore AI-assisted onboarding experiences that make it easier for developers using tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to build with PubNub.\nImprove self-service journeys related to product usage, pricing discovery, and conversion to paid plans.\nEstablish and track key metrics, including time-to-first-value, activation, developer engagement, and first-time paying customers.\nAbout You\nMinimum Requirements\nExperience in product-led growth, developer activation, lifecycle marketing, growth marketing, or a closely related role.\nDemonstrated experience improving onboarding, activation, or self-service conversion for a SaaS or developer-focused product.\nStrong analytical skills, including funnel analysis, user segmentation, experimentation, and performance measurement.\nExperience using product analytics and A/B testing to guide decisions.\nTechnical fluency and the ability to understand developer workflows, APIs, and integrations.\nExperience partnering with Product and Engineering to turn insights into practical product or onboarding improvements.\nStrong English communication skills and comfort working across distributed teams.\nNice to Have\nExperience with API-first or developer infrastructure products.\nFamiliarity with usage-based pricing and self-service monetisation.\nExperience with product analytics and experimentation tools.\nKnowledge of AI coding assistants, MCP, or AI-supported developer workflows.\nWhy PubNub\nAt PubNub, you'll help power real-time experiences used by millions around the world.
