Our Pods (small teams of 5 or less) are comprised of personnel with similar skillsets to ensure mentorship, understanding, and peer support.\nOVERVIEW:\nThe Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, availability, and performance of multiple enterprise databases in a mission-critical environment. The selected individual will support full database lifecycle activities, including administration, monitoring, performance tuning, security implementation, disaster recovery, and legacy data ingestion. This role requires deep expertise with Oracle database technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience supporting highly available and secure systems in classified environments.\nGENERAL DUTIES:\nPerform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, including system database and replication issues.\nMonitor database performance, memory utilization, and capacity using standard database administration tools.\nConduct system updates and perform Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex database problems and performance issues.\nPerform database backup and recovery actions, including disaster recovery support.\nModify existing database scripts and develop new scripts to address recurring database issues and enhance system support.\nDevelop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc data requests.\nTransition and ingest legacy data into new or existing database environments.\nTranslate functional and technical requirements into usable database schemas by creating, recreating, or updating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros.\nManipulate data into master files to support reporting, analytics, and operational requirements.\nRecommend database design and implementation practices that optimize the performance of GOTS and COTS databases and applications.\nAssist in the development of database structures that integrate with the overall system architecture.\nSupport the development of databases, database parser software, and database loading software.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's Degree and Eight (8) years of relevant experience (Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).\nMinimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator\nMinimum of five (5) years of Oracle Database Administration experience\nIn-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security controls.\nIn-depth experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring.\nIn-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems.\nExperience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.\nExperience with procedural languages, including PL/SQL.\nDoD 8570 / DoD 8140 compliant Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience with real-time, highly available data replication technologies, including Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle GoldenGate, and/or Sybase Replication Server.\nExperience working in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.\nExtensive experience with database design and development.\nIn-depth understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other NoSQL technologies.\nStrong experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL development.\nExperience with MongoDB and/or Cassandra.\nCLEARANCE:\nActive TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required\nPueo is an equal employment opportunity employer and affirmative action employer.
