Our Pods (small teams of 5 or less) are comprised of personnel with similar skillsets to ensure mentorship, understanding, and peer support.\nThe Director of Human Resources provides strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions at Pueo Business Solutions. Reporting to the Chief Business Executive, this position develops and administers HR programs, policies, and practices that support organizational objectives, workforce effectiveness, and compliance with federal contracting requirements.\nThe Director serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and managers on employment-related matters and oversees employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, compensation and benefits, leave and accommodations, HR operations, and workforce planning. This role leads the HR team and is responsible for building scalable HR processes that support organizational growth.\nStrategic HR Leadership\nServe as the primary HR advisor to executive leadership on workforce and employment matters.\nDevelop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and growth.\nLead workforce planning, organizational development, employee retention, and succession planning initiatives.\nBuild and maintain scalable HR processes, programs, and policies.\nEmployee Relations & Compliance\nOversee employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and employee separations.\nAdvise managers on employment matters and best practices.\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as federal contractor requirements.\nMaintain HR policies, employee handbook, and employment-related compliance programs.\nTalent, Compensation & Benefits\nLead recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts.\nOversee compensation and benefits programs and advise leadership on employment-related decisions.\nEnsure competitive and compliant employment practices that support attraction and retention of talent.\nHR Operations\nOversee HR systems, employee records, reporting, onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, accommodations, and related HR processes.\nMonitor HR metrics and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.\nLead, coach, and develop HR team members while promoting high service standards and accountability.\nRequirements\nQualifications Required\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility.\nStrong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, performance management, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.\nExperience supporting a multi-state workforce and advising organizational leadership.\nExcellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting a federal government contractor, defense contractor, or professional services organization.\nKnowledge of federal contractor employment and compliance requirements.\nExperience with HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and applicant tracking systems.\nSHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong business acumen and employment law knowledge.\nAbility to build trusted partnerships with leaders and employees at all levels.\nSound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and
