Our Pods (small teams of 5 or less) are comprised of personnel with similar skillsets to ensure mentorship, understanding, and peer support.\nThe organizational goal of theSupply Technician is to provide effective and efficient materiel management to ensure assigned items are appropriately purchased, inventoried, researched, adjusted, and accounted for in a timely manner to support SOCNORTH in-garrison and deployed missions and warfighters.\nResponsibilities:\nServes as a headquarters supply specialist, and continuity for the Headquarters Supply and as principal advisor to the senior supply sergeant for logistics and sustainment.\nCoordinates with the two 92Y non-commissioned officers, and provides technical support for all supply, property accountability, warehouse operations, equipment programs, and sustainment functions. \nDetermines stock levels needed for recurring and non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project and seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. \nPrepares purchasing request packages for approval and processing by the GPC cardholder. Conducts extensive and exhaustive research of commercial supply systems and databases to locate the most cost-effective available substitutes and new products. \nIdentifies potential discrepancies and resolves those which involve special program requirements for urgent, critical shortage items requiring specialized procedures and efforts. Maintains strict records of all purchase transactions. \nPerforms property accountability and management. \nReceives, inspects, and processes incoming supplies and equipment. Verify quantities and serial numbers against shipping documents to ensure items meet required specifications and condition codes. \nIssue organizational clothing, individual equipment, and unit property to authorized personnel using proper documentation. \nReconciles property record balances using property inventory balances. Corrects routine discrepancies (e.g., recording errors, errors in properly identifying equipment). \nProcesses all supply transactions using logistics information systems, ensuring 100% digital and physical accountability. \nCoordinate and execute the distribution of critical parts, high-priority equipment, and administrative supplies utilizing non-standard, commercial shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL). \nEstablishes and enforces command level procedures governing the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP), property book integrity, warehouse internal controls, equipment accountability, and regulatory compliance. \nProvides subject matter expertise with support to monthly and change of primary hand receipt layouts to ensure proper accountability and adherence to government accountability procedures.\nManages material requirements and maintains stock levels for authorized supplies. \nSupervises secure access to supply storage including key control, rosters and sensitive materials. \nEnsure proper protocols for storage of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and sensitive items. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free storage environment. Monitor and rotate stock (First-In, First-Out) to ensure perishable supplies, rations, or expiration-dated materials are utilized before they expire. \nReviews records and demand data to determine if property has become damaged, obsolete or excess to the needs of the organization; offers recommendations to operating officials for utilization; and prepares reports and necessary documentation for transfer of property.\nConducts monthly inventory of sensitive property and annual inventory of non-sensitive property.\nPerforms administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials. \nPerforms a wide variety of record keeping, updating manuals on policies, directives, reporting, and informational duties in support of the organization’s programs, functions, and projects. \nProvides guidance to other employees on changes to regulations, policies, and procedures.
