Each HSE Manager has a specific Geographical ownership but must be flexible where directed to support outside of this.\nTHIS ROLE REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO RELOCATE OR WORK AN EXTENDED ROTATION IN SEINÄJOKI, FINLAND\n\nDescription for External Candidates\n\nCore Responsibilities & Deliverables\nDemonstrate visible and proactive HSE leadership and direction across Pure DC projects\nImplement HSE business decisions\nEnsure the Pure DC HSE and statutory requirements are being achieved across all Pure DC projects\nProvide necessary HSE guidance and recommendation at project level to Pure DC leadership teams\nShare knowledge and develop the competencies of Pure DC teams through mentoring and coaching\nBuild confidence and capability through timely and reasoned decision making and problem solving\nSupport and influence internal and external stakeholders\nExpand and maintain professional relationships, internally and externally\nWork closely with contractors and consultants to ensure HSE requirements are known and achieved\nPrioritise customer focus to ensure they feel heard and valued\nApply a structured and methodical approach to proactive monitoring and close out\nSupport the development and implementation of localised HSE programmes\nProvide high quality, structure reports to leadership teams\nTeam management responsibilities & key relationships\nThe appointed will be expected to manage any HSE consultants that are engaged on the project(s) / region for which they are responsible\n SKILLS, qualifications AND EXPERIENCE\nSkills\nAbility to work at strategic levels and demonstrate visible and proactive leadership\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to relate to people at all levels\nExcellent organisation and presentation skills\nA committed, focused, and resilient team player\nA confident influencer and innovated thinker\nQualifications\nNEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent - minimum), ideally NEBOSH Diploma, or degree qualified\nIOSH Member of IOSH or equivalent health and safety body\nLead auditor and RCA investigation qualification would be hugely advantageous\nExperience\nPrevious experience in a similar role within DC Construction, with similar scale, scope and responsibility\nPrevious experience developing a culture of continuous improvement\nExcellent IT skills (Microsoft suite)\nSignificant experience of ISO45001 and ISO14001\nNote: The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment screening to BS7858:2019, or national equivalent. (Covers: Confirmation of identity, legal right to work, financial probity, criminal history and associations with proscribed organisations).
