The role ensures that robust planning, forecasting, and reporting processes are in place to support on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery. Acting as a key advisor to Key Stakeholder both internal and external and senior leadership, the Senior Project Planner provides strategic insights, risk analysis, and scenario modelling to enable informed decision-making.\nReporting\nReports to Project Director\n Core Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain, and optimise detailed project schedules using recognised planning tools, Primavera P6 & Oracle Primavera Cloud\nBuild and manage integrated master schedules for large or multi-workstream programmes\nEnsure logical sequencing of activities, dependencies, constraints, and milestones\nConduct schedule health checks, critical path analysis, and performance measurement\nSupport Planning Managers on projects underway\nDevelop and manage programmes from Pre-Construction, Construction & Commissioning to deliver various size data centres globally, inclusive of critical build sequencing, procurement and delivery of key plant & equipment, and ensuring clients have early access to the data halls while construction is still being completed and commissioning is underway\nAdvise on a project-to-project basis on the correct and most suitable construction methods to use depending on timeframes and budgets\nReview standard architectural and engineering specifications to develop the programme and scheduling approach for each project\nManage the coordinated interfaces with the Project and Design teams to ensure all work packages are developed timeously upfront to feed into the project schedules\nDevelop and manage detailed schedules, inclusive of critical path analysis and ensuring programme logic is maintained through the project programme life\nIntegrate multiple schedules into a master programme schedule, baselined with full critical path integration\nAdditional programme development and management will include but not limited to customer RFP integrated master schedules for each development scheme, local council planning submissions, design schedules and procurement schedules for onboarding of critical consultants, contractors and ordering of key plant & equipment\nWork closely with various departments to ensure accurate delivery plans\n Knowledge and Skills\nExcellent verbal, written and presentational skills\nExcellent knowledge of Primavera & Oracle Primavera Cloud and other industry planning software packages\nGood knowledge of the construction industry and delivery\nExcellent IT skills, particularly MS Office \nGood knowledge of construction project management\nExcellent attention to detail\nStrong negotiation, organisational and analytical skills\nPossess good interpersonal skills and display high levels of confidence and competence \nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction and/or engineering - Essential \nMinimum of 5 years of large-scale construction project management experience - Essential \nMinimum of 5 years of experience using or Primavera or P6 and MS Excel - Essential \nKnowledge of Oracle Primavera Cloud - Desirable\nProficient in BIM scheduling - Essential \nPrevious experience of working on large-scale data centre construction projects or other complex M&E critical services construction projects - Desirable. \nExperience of remote working \nNote: The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment screening to BS7858:2019, or national equivalent.
