There is no “fake it until you make it” here\nResponsibilities\nDesign and engineer commercial PV solar systems between 100kW and 20MW in size.\nDevelop construction documents using AutoCAD.\nDevelop specifications, collect data, and complete utility interconnection applications and building permit applications.\nDevelop detailed equipment specifications.\nCoordinate activities between clients, utilities, permit agencies, contractors, and other engineering firms.\nTravel to project sites from time to time to gather site-specific data, as required.\nSite assessment and analysis both from on-site data collection and network tools.\nContributing to or writing technical papers.\nSite specific production analysis of PV arrays using models such as PVsyst.\nWhile most of this work will be carried out in Pure Power’s office in Hoboken NJ, some travel to sites will be expected.\nRoof surveying using total stations and other professional land surveying equipment.\nIntegrating energy storage systems into the solar PV system.\nProvide mentorship and training to new and junior engineering personnel.\nOther tasks as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in electrical engineering or other related discipline.\nAbility to communicate among construction, technical and non-technical personnel, both internally and outside the company.\n2+ years’ experience working with AutoCAD with an understanding of layer control, dimensioning and scaling, sheet sets, blocks, xrefs, line weights, plot files, and file transmission.\nHands on experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in traditional building design with an MEP firm.\n2+ years’ experience designing commercial & utility scale solar PV systems.\nExperience designing energy storage systems.\nFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code.\nFamiliarity with the Autocad, PVsyst, SKM, & Etap software.\nHands on experience installing, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting solar PV systems.\nNABCEP certification.\nLocation\nThis position will be based out of our exciting Denver, CO office with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule. We also provide a parking spot for the days when an employee wishes to drive to the office and for those that utilize public transportation, we will cover the costs associated with traveling to and from the office.\nCompensation and Benefits\nWe offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
