As a full-service engineering firm, we create the electrical and structural drawings and calculation packages for bidding, permits and construction, as well as supporting the lead up to the full engineering drawings, primarily interconnection support and electrical/structural feasibility studies. There is no “fake it until you make it” here\nDuration\nThis internship position runs from early June to end of August.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and engineer commercial PV solar systems between 100kW and 20MW in size.\nIntegrating energy storage systems into the solar PV system.\nDevelop construction documents using AutoCAD.\nDevelop specifications, collect data, and complete utility interconnection applications and building permit applications.\nTravel to project sites from time to time to gather site-specific data, as required.\nSite specific production analysis of PV arrays using models such as PVsyst.\nWhile most of this work will be carried out in Pure Power’s office location(s) some travel to sites will be expected.\nRequirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nBS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related discipline.\n1+ years’ experience working with AutoCAD.\nPrevious internship in traditional building design with an MEP firm.\nLocation\nThis position will be based out of our exciting Houston office with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule.\nSalary Range\n$21-30.00/Hour\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nPure Power is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
