Our strategic agenda spans the companies defining the next era of technology - hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers, and the broader AI ecosystem.\nThe Strategy, Corporate Development & Ventures team reports directly to the Chief Technology and Growth Officer (CTGO). At the frontier of data and AI, strategy must be closely coupled with technology. The department supports a broad mandate of M&A, strategic investments, commercial partnerships and business development across the data and AI software stack, AI infrastructure supply chain, hyperscalers, neoclouds, and the enterprise - across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.\nStrategically we will embed directly and deeply with our business units. The team works directly alongside the engineers and technologists who built the Everpure platform, enabling deep, direct technical evaluation of markets and companies as the agent infrastructure of tomorrow evolves. \nEverpure is significantly expanding its corporate development capability, with strong executive sponsorship and committed capital - this team is being built now, and its early members will shape how it operates.\n\nTHE ROLE\nReporting to the VP of Strategy, Corporate Development & Ventures, the Director will own transactions and coverage areas end-to-end, from market assessment and proactive sourcing through diligence, structuring, negotiation, and post-close accountability. This is a hands-on role with substantial ownership and direct executive exposure. On transactions, the Director will lead deal teams staffed with Senior Manager- and Associate-level colleagues, directing their work across modeling, diligence, and materials preparation; as the function scales, the role is expected to grow in leadership.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nBuild and maintain a proactive pipeline of acquisition and investment opportunities across the data and AI landscape, developing relationships with founders, investors, and advisors to source opportunities ahead of formal processes\nLead transaction execution: valuation and financial modeling, cross-functional diligence coordination with product, engineering, legal, and finance, negotiation support, and structuring across M&A and venture instruments\nDirect and develop deal team members across transaction workstreams, reviewing analytical output and building the team's execution standards\nDevelop rigorous, well-researched perspectives on adjacent markets and competitors to inform build, buy, and partner decisions\nDefine integration milestones and success metrics prior to close, and evaluate post-close performance against the original investment thesis\nPrepare executive- and board-level materials covering pipeline, transaction evaluation, and portfolio performance\nContribute to building the team's AI-enabled deal processes and market intelligence capabilities, leveraging Everpure's own platform\nWHAT YOU BRING\n8-12 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or venture capital, with substantial buy-side transaction experience and demonstrated end-to-end deal ownership\nStrong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, with working command of transaction mechanics including deal structures and diligence\nAbility to develop technical fluency rapidly in enterprise infrastructure; experience in storage, data management, or AI infrastructure is a plus\nProficiency applying AI tools to research, analysis, and transaction evaluation\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences\nAn established network across founders, investors, and advisors that supports proprietary deal sourcing\nExperience directing junior deal team members and reviewing analytical work product\nThis position is based in our Santa Clara, CA office.\n #LI-ONSITE\nSalary ranges are determined based on role, level and location.
