This hybrid role combines product ownership, project management, and business analysis and serves as a key connection between business stakeholders, clients, developers, QA, IT, and operational teams.\nThe ideal candidate can take a business need from initial discovery through delivery by defining requirements, establishing priorities, managing projects, identifying risks and dependencies, and ensuring development teams have the information needed to successfully execute.\nThis role requires someone who does more than coordinate tasks. We are looking for an individual who takes ownership, asks the right questions, identifies gaps, follows issues through resolution, and communicates risks and blockers early.\nThis hybrid position will be primarily remote for candidates in the local DC/Maryland/Virginia area. Initial training will take place onsite in Reston, VA, Mandatory meetings will be required onsite at our Reston offices.\nBenefits\nCasual Work Environment\n100% Company Paid Medical (choice of 3 plans), Dental and Vision for Employee\nAvailable FSA or HSA account\n100% Company paid Basic Term Life and AD&D Insurance\n100% Company paid Long Term Disability Insurance\nAFLAC is Available\n401(k) Plan\nPaid Sick and Vacation Leave\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as Product Owner for assigned products, applications, enhancements, and initiatives.\nGather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.\nTranslate business needs into clear, actionable Jira epics, stories, and tasks.\nDevelop user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, and supporting documentation.\nMaintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business needs, client commitments, dependencies, and technical priorities.\nEnsure requirements are complete and development-ready before work begins.\nManage projects from planning through implementation, including milestones, deliverables, owners, dependencies, and target dates.\nProactively identify and escalate risks, blockers, resource constraints, and schedule impacts.\nPartner closely with developers and QA to clarify requirements and resolve questions throughout development and testing.\nCoordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nLead project and requirements meetings and ensure decisions and action items are documented and followed through completion.\nMaintain accurate project status, requirements, and supporting information in Jira and other project-management tools.\nCommunicate project status, priorities, risks, and changes clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience in product ownership, project management, business analysis, or a combination of these areas.\nExperience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.\nStrong project-management, organizational, and prioritization skills.\nExperience working with developers, QA, business stakeholders, and operational teams.\nExperience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to identify requirement gaps, dependencies, risks, and unresolved issues.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow work through completion.\nExperience with Jira or a similar work-management platform.\nPreferred / Nice-to-Have\nExperience in an Agile or hybrid software-development environment.\nExperience with software implementations, integrations, APIs, data exchanges, or data mapping.\nExperience with client-facing technology solutions.\nExperience supporting QA and user acceptance testing.\nExperience with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe are looking for someone who combines ownership, analytical thinking, strong communication, and follow-through.
