This is our Mission.\nTitle: Implementation Specialist - Senior Linux and Cloud Engineer\nReports to: Technical Services Manager\nBased at: 1145 Innovation Drive, Kanata, ON, with potential for weekly travel to customer sites.\nThis is a new and exciting opening at PureLogic!\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Specialist - Senior Linux and Cloud Engineer to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade Linux systems and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP). You will play a key role in driving automation, performance, security, and scalability across hybrid infrastructures.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the planning and technical execution of client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with client requirements.\nServe as a trusted technical advisor by communicating project progress, risks, and architectural recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.\nMentor and coach junior team members by providing technical leadership, code and design reviews, and opportunities for skills development.\nDesign, deploy, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure in both on-prem and cloud environments.\nBuild and manage highly available, secure, and scalable cloud architectures.\nDeploy and manage Kubernetes environments and supporting software.\nAutomate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.\nMonitor systems performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.\nCollaborate with developers, DevOps, and security teams to deliver infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.\nImplement robust backup, disaster recovery, and patch management strategies.\nEnsure systems comply with organizational security and compliance standards.\nDocument infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).\n3+ years of experience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.\nStrong experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.).\nSolid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools (Dynatrace, Morpheus, Prometheus, etc.). is a plus.\nFamiliarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a strong plus.\nExcellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\nBeneficial Qualifications\nCloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).\nKubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKS.\nExperience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).\nExposure to security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc).\nExperience in air-gapped environments.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and performance bonuses\nComprehensive health and dental insurance\nProfessional development and certification reimbursement\nA collaborative team environment working with cutting-edge tech\nOur Commitment to You\nAs a proud equal opportunity employer, we encourage applicants from all walks of life to apply to join our growing team.
