PS is rapidly becoming the leading solution for quality multi-sourcing and end-to-end automated research solution.\nThe Opportunity:\nPureSpectrum is seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Engineer to support and manage the IT infrastructure and day-to-day Network and computing needs of our office. This is a hands-on networking role where you will independently manage the site environment, maintain network devices and support end users and IT systems.\nThe ideal candidate has 2-3 years of hands-on experience in networking and infrastructure, is comfortable independently managing a site and has a genuine curiosity about AI technologies and their practical applications in a business environment. You should be able to communicate clearly and work confidently with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations.\nLocation: This position is based out of our Hyderabad, India office, requiring in-office presence of 5 days a week.\nYour Responsibilities:\nNetworking & Infrastructure\nMeeting with the IT manager to discuss system needs.\nSophos Firewall: Manage and maintain the, rule configuration, monitoring, security policies and firmware updates.\nAdminister HP and Cisco network switches, including VLAN configuration, port management and firmware maintenance.\nManage and support Wi-Fi infrastructure including access points and controllers - troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure optimal coverage.\nIndependently manage and own the local office site IT environment, ensuring maximum uptime and proactively resolving issues without constant supervision.\nPerform regular network patching and maintenance cycles, keeping all network devices updated, secure, and documented.\nDiagnose and fix network problems, hardware faults, and software issues in a timely manner.\nSet up and configure new computers, network equipment, switches, and access points.\nIT Service Desk & Systems Support\nResponding to general IT requests. Responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications.\nWork with third parties and vendors to ensure service quality and rectify issues to minimize downtime impact to business operations.\nSetting up and installing new computers, networks, and software\nSetting up user accounts and profiles on the network and internal applications.\nInstalling updates, known as patches, to software applications\nInstalling and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office\nDiagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults\nMaintaining inventories of hardware and software\nManaging backups of servers, in case of data loss\nKeeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference. \nTraining staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.\nAI Interest & Innovation\nActively explore and pilot AI tools and integrations within internal applications and business workflows.\nStay up to date on emerging AI technologies and contribute ideas for practical AI adoption within the company.\nCollaborate with teams to identify opportunities where AI tools can improve productivity or automate repetitive tasks.\nRequirements:\nGraduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science or Information Technology from any reputed University.\n2 -3 years of proven working experience in IT with a strong focus on networking and infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, Linux, and UNIX.\nHands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation\nTechnical Certifications are an added advantage. \nSolid judgment and critical thinking skills\nExcellent communication and analytical skills\nAbility to be proactive in anticipating problems and provide solutions.\nA passion for curiosity and a drive to always be learning.\nAbility to foster positive relationships across teams and customers. \nWilling to work in Night Shifts and in shifts rotating 24x7.\nNetworking & Technical Skills\nHands-on experience with Sophos firewalls (Sophos Central preferred) - configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nWorking knowledge of HP and Cisco switches - VLANs, port configuration, firmware updates.\nExperience managing WiFi devices and access points - deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.\nDemonstrated ability to independently manage an office IT site with minimal supervision.\nExperience performing regular network patching and maintaining patch schedules for network devices.\nCertifications are a strong advantage: CCNA, Sophos Certified Engineer, or similar.\nSoft Skills & Mindset\nSolid judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and analytical skills, comfortable working with internal teams and external vendors.\nEager to grow, take ownership and be proactive in identifying and resolving problems.\nA keen interest in Artificial Intelligence and automation, with a genuine willingness to learn and apply AI tools and integrations in business applications.\nAbility to foster positive relationships across teams and with customers.\nWilling to work flexible hours to support IT operations as needed.\nFamiliarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or automation platforms.\nPureSpectrum Perks:\nPureSpectrum is continuously focused on our culture, which is rooted in innovation, connection, and providing a great experience at all business levels -what we like to call PSX.
