You'll work with state-of-the-art engineering and work together with your peers to build a better food future.\nAs a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our plant utilities, including high-pressure steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, compressed air, process water, cooling towers, fire protection systems, and safety devices. You will also contribute to the Maintenance team as needed. This is a unique opportunity to join our team at a brand-new manufacturing facility, work with state-of-the-art engineering, and execute new initiatives that will support our vision of a Plant-Strong Planet.\nPay Rate/Range: $38.75+ (depending on engineer license level)\nPay Frequency: Biweekly\nBonus Eligible: Yes\nWork Location: Dawson Manufacturing Facility\nTravel: None\nThe compensation for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, and internal equity. Pay is determined transparently, using market benchmarks and ensuring internal equity.\nSummary of Essential Job Functions:\nContribute to a Safety-First culture that promotes empowerment and continuous improvement\nOversee the daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our plant utilities, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations\nTroubleshoot issues and initiate immediate corrective action to prevent recurrence\nCommunicate issues and corrective actions, and document preventative actions for future reference\nDevelop, review, and update preventative maintenance schedules and procedures as needed\nCoordinate repairs to building systems and equipment, and prepare documentation to log and report necessary information\nUnderstand and apply IOM manuals, equipment schematics, shop drawings, etc.\nCollaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to continuously improve the Safety and reliability of the plant utilities\nFollow all plant food safety policies and procedures\nBe able and willing to respond to building emergencies and after-hour calls for repair\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience Required:\nFirst-Class Engineer's License, Grade B (minimum)\nStrong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic background\nBasic understanding of commercial plumbing, HVAC, and fire systems\nAbility to manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks\nPreferred:\nExperience in a continuous food production facility,\nExperience in industrial machine repair, including preventative and predictive maintenance principles,\nExperience with ammonia refrigeration systems\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance\nManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and machinery\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders as needed\nComfortable working in varying temperatures (hot, cold, humid)\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots\nVisual and auditory ability to detect safety hazards and machine malfunctions\nAbility to push, pull, squat, kneel, or twist as needed during shift\nAbility to perform repetitive motions consistently and safely\nMay be required to sit or operate forklifts or machinery for extended periods\nBenefits:\nAt PURIS, we’re proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both personally and professionally.
