We have an unwavering commitment to safety and recognize consistent dedication with attendance rewards and a gas stipend to support your commute.\nThe Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic equipment. All while maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Mechanic understands and executes safe working practices including the usage of proper PPE.\nThis position has the potential to earn more based on shift differential, experience, and attendance. We also offer a fuel allowance program for commuting to and from work, a telehealth service that allows employees to make health care appointments with convenience, and an attendance incentive that gives an additional bonus up to $3.75/hr based on perfect attendance.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.\nComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.\nObserves all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.\nFollows all established Good Manufacturing Practices; including an orderly and clean work area.\nProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.\nPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, welding, cutting, soldering, pipe fitting, insulating, carpentry, installing, repair of production machines and repair building issues.\nPosition may require regular standing, reaching, bending and continuous motion.\nRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.\nDiscuss work orders, equipment malfunctions and job task coordination with co-workers.\nReports all downtime\nAssess whether designs meet technical specifications, performance requirements and regulations.\nDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.\nPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.\nDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.\nAbility to utilize powered industrial equipment; to include forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts.\nOn Call Maintenance rotation \nPerform other duties as assigned\nRequirements\nEducation, Experience & Capabilities:\nHigh School diploma or GED required. Technical School graduate preferred\nMust be able to read, write and speak English\nA high degree of judgment is required for this position\nKnowledge of power and hand tools\n7+ years of manufacturing experience preferred; strong pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC experience is a plus\nExperience with grain handling / processing equipment\nExperience with maintenance type welding activities and air compressors\nExperience with rigging equipment to pick and place machinery and parts, fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach and align motors, connect coupling and belts\nExperience performing predictive and operation maintenance using laser alignment tooling, service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment\nMust have general mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge\nSoftware and PLC experience is helpful\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance\nManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and machinery\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders as needed\nComfortable working in varying temperatures (hot, cold, humid)\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots\nVisual and auditory ability to detect safety hazards and machine malfunctions\nAbility to push, pull, squat, kneel, or twist as needed during shift\nAbility to perform repetitive motions consistently and safely\nMay be required to sit or operate forklifts or machinery for extended periods\nBenefits:\nAt PURIS, we’re proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both personally and professionally.
