We have an unwavering commitment to safety and recognize consistent dedication with attendance rewards and a gas stipend to support your commute.\nAs a Production Technician at PURIS, you play a key role to ensure the plant has a 90% up time while completing your daily duties in plant operations & food safety. To ensure product quality, a clean work environment must be maintained and Technicians are responsible to abide by Quality Standards at all times. Safety is our #1 priority, therefore Production Technicians must adhere to all plant policies with regard to Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.\nThis position has the potential to earn up to $24.75 an hour based on shift differential, experience, and attendance. We also offer a fuel allowance program for commuting to and from work, a telehealth service that allows employees to make health care appointments with convenience, and an attendance incentive that gives an additional bonus up to $3.00/hr based on perfect attendance.\nSummary of Essential Job Functions\nResponsible for monitoring and operating plant equipment, controlling product flow to ensure the process is operating at peak performance; take immediate corrective action for all problems\nResponsible for performing routine and non-routine tasks in a safe manner, in addition to supporting and abiding by the safety culture\nMay work various duties for the receiving in of raw material loads into the facility\nFulfill required documentation and process check sheets on a regular basis\nOperate packaging equipment and perform quality checks throughout the process\nWork in loading various types of shipping containers\nResponsible for keeping plant clean and neat\nAssist with plant preventive maintenance and repairs\nPerform other tasks and projects as required\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nMechanical aptitude preferred\nPrior fork truck experience helpful\nKnowledge of GMPs and Food Safety a plus\n1 year or more in a manufacturing environment or some type of agricultural experience preferred\nSkills and Capabilities:\nWillingness to learn new things and help others.\nWriting and understanding written sentences, paragraphs, and directions in work related documents.\nBe able to use effective time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks\nCapable of physical labor\nCapable of wearing PPE; including, but not limited to: hearing, eye, and hand protection\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance\nManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and machinery\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders as needed\nComfortable working in varying temperatures (hot, cold, humid)\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots\nVisual and auditory ability to detect safety hazards and machine malfunctions\nAbility to push, pull, squat, kneel, or twist as needed during shift\nAbility to perform repetitive motions consistently and safely\nMay be required to sit or operate forklifts or machinery for extended periods\nBenefits:\nAt PURIS, we’re proud to support our team with a comprehensive benefits package designed to help you thrive both personally and professionally.
