The projects that the Innovations team is working makes this an exciting time to join. The work directly supports the development of the innovative products that bring better comfort to Purple customers.Job Description\nHow you’ll shape the future of comfort\nRun and monitor injection molding machines, including removing parts and operating basic controls.\nBuild and assemble new product prototypes using glue, foam, and tools such as spray adhesive, scissors, foam saws, and electric cutters.\nMeasure parts and check product quality against standards, and take notes on product builds, tests, and ways to improve.\nHelp document and prepare new concepts for patent review.\nSet up product displays and prepare rooms for internal meetings, customer presentations, demos, and team walkthroughs.\nTrack warehouse materials and supplies, restock as needed, and keep work areas and the warehouse clean and organized.\nPack and prepare items for shipping, load and unload trucks, and operate forklifts safely around heavy equipment.\nFollow all safety rules and take part in ongoing safety training.\nWhat we’re looking for\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nCommitment to working hard every day, no matter the project or assignment.\nWillingness to learn and a positive attitude.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to regularly lift and move materials or products up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to stand for up to 10 hours.\nEven Better if...\nForklift experience or certification.\nExperience operating injection molding machines or other manufacturing equipment.\nExperience using hand and power tools for building or assembly.\nPhysical Requirements:\nPhysical activities may occasionally include:\nOperating forklifts and working around heavy equipment and machinery.\nLoading and unloading trucks.\nPhysical activities may constantly include:\nStanding for prolonged periods of time, up to 10 hours.\nLifting and moving materials or products up to 50 pounds.\nCommunicating with others to exchange information.\nRepetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\nAssessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.\nEnvironmental Conditions may occasionally include:\nWarehouse and production environment with noise from machinery and heavy equipment\nExposure to spray adhesives, foam, and cutting tools\nWork Hours (Good Faith Estimate):\nThis full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week.
