They are accountable for achieving performance goals for key\nmetrics including Safety, Quality, Throughput, Cost, Uptime, and Work In\nProgress (WIP). They operate their production line safely and efficiently.\nThey ensure their employees are safe and wear personal protective\nequipment (PPE). They approve time sheets, keep roll sheets updated, and\nensure shift changes happen seamlessly. They drive daily 5S and\nworkplace organization activities, ensure operator equipment\nmaintenance duties are performed. The line manager helps the team\nsurface problems and implements process improvements\nJob Description\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nWorks side by side with operators to reach production goals and ensure standard work processes are being followed Reports production metrics to upper management\nCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel\nEstablish priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules; report results of the processing flow on shift production summaries\nInitiates and coordinates production systems, policies, and procedures\nUses Lean Manufacturing principles to surface problems and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and improve quality\nMaintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources\nMaintains a clean, organized work environment by following 5S principles and procedures.\nMaintains staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees\nMaintains equipment by leading team members in, operator preventative maintenance (OPM), ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques\nCoaches, counsels, and holds employees accountable to standard work instructions\nPerform other duties as required or assigned\nRequired Skills, Education, Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nBachelor’s Degree preferred\nPrior experience in manufacturing\nPhysical Requirements:\nEnvironmental Conditions may occasionally include:\nNoisy open office environment\nNoisy production environment\nEmployment is contingent upon successfully passing a drug screening and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.\nWork Hours (Good Faith Estimate):\nThis full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week.
