In addition, this role is eligible for monthly commissions on qualifying mattress sales, per the commission agreement terms and conditions.Why this role matters\nPurple is growing, and we are looking for a friendly, communicative, and customer service-oriented manager to oversee daily operations at our store location. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing our team of retail associates, interfacing with our customers, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the store.How you’ll shape the future of comfort:\nDrive Sales & KPIs\nMake strategic and operational decisions that align with Purple’s values\nDrive sales and results through sales strategies to meet Purple’s performance metrics\nEstablish clear goals, consistently monitor progress, and track store performance\nTake ownership of personal and team sales and performance results\nHold team accountable for personal sales performance and productivity\nCreate optimized store schedules that align staffing with peak times to maximize sales\nAbility to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays\nHire and Develop Talent\nRecruit, hire, and develop top talent\nCoach, model, and deliver selling behavior that aligns with Purple’s strategy\nFoster a positive work environment where employees enjoy coming to work\nManage and lead a team of approximately 4-5 associates\nUphold Visual and Operational Standards\nAdheres to all Purple retail policies including safety and operational standards\nUtilize company resources to prepare and set up visual marketing displays and promotional materials\nCreate a customer centric and solution-oriented environment\nAbility to learn and communicate product knowledge to match customer’s needs\nExemplify and lead with company values (i.e. safety, community, communication, development, accountability and innovation)\nWhat we’re looking for:\nMinimum of high school diploma; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred\n5+ years of experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a store manager role\nBe comfortable learning & adapting to new technology\nExcellent interpersonal communication capabilities\nCustomer service-oriented attitude\nAbility to stay organized and manage time effectively\nStrengths in leadership, management, team building, and problem solving\nUnderstanding of basic business management functions\nEnthusiasm and a positive attitude\nProven competencies in effective communication and management\nWillingness to learn and tackle new challenges\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nPhysical Activities may occasionally include:\nascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like; \nmoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments; \ncommunicating with others to exchange information. \nPhysical Activities may constantly include:\nremaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods; \nmoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, reaching or bending repeatedly\nadjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions; Capability to lift up to 200 pounds via team lift or equipment\nrepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers; \noperating power tools, depending on position; \nassessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
