Because when you invest in better, everything else follows.\nCompensation\nThe compensation target for this role is: $21.75Why this role matters\nThe Warehouse Materials Handler II position assists warehouse operations by inspecting, receiving, storing, and distributing materials. They also maintain an organized and clean work area.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:\nPerforms random and initial inspections on incoming material by following the Incoming Inspection Process\n\nReceives material into designated locations within the warehouse using the computer or WMS scanner.\n\nUses the inventory control system to receive, transfer, and manage materials.\n\nOperate forklifts to move material up to (and possibly exceeding) 2000 lbs, as well as operating forklifts to provide material to production areas.\n\nMaintains the cleanliness of warehouse storage areas including loading docks and outdoor storage areas.\n\nAssistsin the disposal of waste material created by the production process.\n\nPrepares outgoing shipments by using protective material such as pallet stretch-wrapping, pallet banding, edge protectors, and other protective material.\n\nOrganizes the material within the warehouse storage areas in a way that benefitsthe production teams.\n\nRequired Skills, Education, Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalentpreferred\n\nMinimum of 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.\n\nAbility to operateforklifts.\n\nAbility to operatepallet stretch-wrapping machine.\n\nAbility to operatecardboard baling machine.\n\nUnderstanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations\n\nExperience in reporting on key Inventory Control metrics\n\nProficient in MS Office and ERP software\n\nOutstanding communication ability\n\nExcellent organizational and leaderships skills\n\nAttention to detail\n\nStrong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach\n\nExperience with Six Sigma and Lean Concepts, preferred.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nPhysical activities may occasionally include:\nRemainingin stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time.\n\nAdjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions.\n\nThe worker is subject to outside environmental conditions with no effective protection from weather.\n\nPhysical activities may constantly include:\nCommunicating with others to exchange information.\n\nRepetitive motions that may include the wrists, handsand/or fingers.\n\nAssessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.\n\nEnvironmental Conditions may occasionally include:\nNoisy open office environment\n\nThe worker is subject to outside environmental conditions with no effective protection from weather.\n\nWork Hours (Good Faith Estimate):\nThis full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week.
