The role will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our network infrastructure, including Aruba and Cisco switching, Check Point firewalls, and A10 load balancers. The role involves regular travel to our data centers and client offices for on-site support, hardware work, and incident resolution.\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\nNetwork Monitoring and Incident Management\nMonitor network health, device availability and link utilization using NMS and alerting tools and respond to alerts within defined SLAs.\n\nPerform first-level troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, and connectivity issues, and escalate unresolved incidents to L2/L3 teams with complete diagnostic details.\n\nPerform basic configuration tasks such as, but not limited to, VLAN assignment, port enable/disable, access port configuration, and interface description updates.\n\nTroubleshoot port-level issues, including, but not limited to, link flaps, speed/duplex mismatches, errors, and PoE problems.\n\nCheck MAC address tables, ARP entries, dot1x and interface status to isolate connectivity faults.\n\nSupport switch replacements, IOS/firmware upgrades, and configuration backups under L2 guidance.\n\nMonitor firewall health, cluster status and logs using SmartConsole / SmartView.\n\nPerform log analysis to identify blocked traffic and support rule/traffic flow verification for connectivity issues.\n\nAssist L2 teams with policy installation, rule change validation and VPN tunnel status checks.\n\nMonitor virtual servers, service groups and real server health status.\n\nAssist in SSL certificate expiry tracking and escalate load balancing issues to L2.\n\nTravel to data centers and client’s offices for device installation, rack and stack, cabling, tracing, patching and hardware replacement (RMA).\n\nPerform physical checks, including LED status, power supply, cable integrity and labelling.\n\nPrepare daily and weekly health check and incident reports.\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\n1–3 years of experience in network operations or a NOC environment.\n\nHands-on exposure to Aruba and/or Cisco switches (CLI and GUI).\n\nWorking knowledge of Check Point firewalls (SmartConsole, logs, basic policy understanding).\n\nBasic understanding of A10 load balancers or similar ADC platforms (F5, Citrix NetScaler).\n\nGood understanding of networking fundamentals: OSI/TCP-IP model, VLANs, Dot1x, STP, subnetting, routing basics (static, OSPF, BGP), DHCP, DNS and NAT.\n\nFamiliarity with troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute and packet capture (Wireshark).\n\nExperience with ITSM ticketing tools and following SLA-driven processes.\n\nPreferred Certifications\nCCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)\n\nAruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA)\n\nCCSA (Check Point Certified Security Administrator)\n\nITIL Foundation\n\nSkills\nITIL Certified, NetScaler, Subnetting, GUI, Wireshark, CCNA, Network Operations, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), STP, Cisco, Aruba Wireless, Load Balancing, Networking, Cisco Switches, DNS, Checkpoint, Firewall Management, BGP","description_format":"text","description_chars":3101,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Aruba","iso":"AW","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["IT Consulting & Digital Transformation","Managed IT Services (MSP)"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T10:01:06Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":18,"reasons":["seen:3","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-04T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":70500,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/purview-technology-co-llc-network-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/purview-technology-co-llc-network-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-05T01:19:25Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1743,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3257,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-06T00:00:00Z"}}}
