At Puttery, every visit is a reason to celebrate.\nJob Purpose\nThe Assistant General Manager will lead and execute all aspects of Puttery's operation including, but not limited to, hospitality services, food and beverage, training, facilities, and golf operations. This individual will report directly to the General Manager and work in tandem to reinforce Puttery's operational and cultural standards.\nResponsibilities\nWork with and support the General Manager; assume GM responsibilities in his/her absence\nCoach and develop a large and diverse team through clear written and verbal communication\nManage all facets of the operation, including regular financial reporting\nEstablish and uphold Puttery standards and expectations\nOversee Puttery's defined processes around inventory and reporting responsibilities\nOversee labor and spending for entire facility, within Puttery guidelines\nPlan and develop a profitable operation through proper cost and inventory control\nOversee, document, and report complete inventories of Puttery assets on a regular basis\nImplement controls and procedures to eliminate loss of product and labor efficiency\nTrack all spending and ensure it is accounted for and in accordance with Puttery's policies\nDevelop the team by establishing profitability goals and rewarding positive behavior\nRecruit and hire the best of the best with a “Get it right the first time mindset”\nSet and hold expectations of accountability with management team, upholding brand standards\nEnsure execution of training programs at the highest level to equip our Puttery team to perform their job functions successfully and deliver our Core Values every day\nCreate a work environment that promotes staff retention levels above the industry average\nAssure staffing levels meet business needs, while taking into account team member well-being\nLead and influence through effective motivation, celebrations, and accountability\nSelect and develop high-potential staff members to take on greater responsibility and/or internal promotions into higher levels at Puttery\nSales\nFacilitate sales through proactively planning and executing marketing plans and incremental sales programs in collaboration with the Director of Sales\nManage the budget and business plan to meet or exceed planned financial performance, make adjustments as necessary to adapt to changing situations\nDraft, communicate, track, and hold departments accountable for individual goals\nConduct departmental performance incentive programs to deliver on incremental sales\nGuest Services\nCreate an on-brand Puttery guest experience through superior operations\nExceed guest satisfaction goals through superior product quality and execution\nSeek out guest feedback and use for management and hourly team development\nMaintain a safe and secure facility for all Puttery guests\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience managing a large team in a high-volume entertainment or food and beverage environment\nAble to understand and interpret product sales mix, efficiency reports, product pars, labor reports, yearly budgets, and other corporate reports to develop action plans based on quantifiable data; proficiency in MS Office software\nAble to recruit, motivate, develop, retain, and promote top talent through thoughtful leadership and genuine concern for team member growth\nWork days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required\nOperate in a fast paced environment with constant distractions\nMove about our facility and stand for long periods of time; our work is both indoors and outdoors year-round\nLift and carry over 50 pounds regularly\nBe a Puttery brand ambassador, championing our mission and values\nAchieve budgeted financial results in areas of responsibility\nAct as a mentor and lead by strong example\nEstablish positive relationships through clear verbal and written communication\nMaintain a professional image, both internally and externally\nUphold a high level of personal accountability and decision-making skill\nWorking Conditions\nFast-paced hospitality and entertainment environment with both indoor and outdoor areas\nRegularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the venue for extended periods\nWork schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs\nFrequent interaction with guests and team members in high-energy settings\nMust remain focused and adaptable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities\nModerate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required for setup and inventory support\nNoise levels can be high during peak hours and events\nOccasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions year-round\nPuttery is committed to equal opportunity in the workplace, preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
