At Puttery, every visit is a reason to celebrate.\nJob Purpose\nThe Bartender is responsible for greeting guests in the venue, taking orders, making suggestions to improve the guest experience, having a great understanding of food, beverage, and gaming options in the venue, and managing cash/financial transactions. This is achieved by maintaining a positive and inviting attitude, actively providing hospitality to all guests in the venue, and keeping a sustained knowledge on the food, beverage, and gaming offerings.\nIn addition, the Bartender is expected to have a working knowledge of the venue Beverage Recipe Book. To meet this expectation, Bartenders should actively participate in training to understand liquors, beers, and wine, as well as other beverages offered in the venue.\nResponsibilities\nGreet guests promptly, provide exceptional hospitality, and create a welcoming atmosphere.\nAccurately take food and beverage orders and make recommendations based on guest preferences.\nPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes, presentation standards, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.\nMaintain working knowledge of the venue Beverage Recipe Book, menu offerings, promotions, and gaming experiences.\nProcess cash, credit card, and other financial transactions accurately.\nPrepare fruits, garnishes, syrups, mixers, and other bar ingredients for current and upcoming shifts.\nPerform daily date checks and ensure proper rotation, labeling, storage, and disposal of perishable products in accordance with food safety standards.\nStock, restock, and organize liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and bar supplies throughout the shift.\nMonitor inventory levels and communicate product shortages or quality concerns to management.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of bars, service stations, coolers, storage areas, and workspaces.\nFollow all local, state, and company alcohol service regulations, including age verification procedures.\nAssist with opening, shift change, and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, reconciliation, and preparation for the next business day.\nSupport venue operations by assisting servers, food runners, and other team members as business needs require.\nMaintain safety, sanitation, and health standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nWork scheduled shifts and additional hours as business demands require.\nFollow direction from management and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMust be 21 years of age or older\nCraft cocktail experience preferred\nFamiliarity with restaurant standards and hospitality\nWorking knowledge of current and popular bar and cocktail trend\nGood communication skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.\nCurrent alcohol service certification (where required by state or local law) or ability to obtain certification upon hire.\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nWorking Conditions\nFast-paced, high-energy bar and entertainment environment\nFrequent standing, walking, and moving for extended periods throughout shifts\nWork includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business levels\nIndoor and outdoor work environments with varying temperatures and noise levels\nRegular lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs., with occasional exertion up to 50 lbs.\nConstant interaction with bartenders, servers, and guests in busy service settings\nRequires focus, adaptability, and teamwork under pressure\nPuttery is committed to equal opportunity in the workplace, preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
