At Puttery, every visit is a reason to celebrate.\nJob Purpose\nThe Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and menu components according to company recipes and standards. This role ensures stations are properly stocked and organized while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. Prep Cooks play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring food is prepared efficiently and to quality expectations.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare ingredients for service, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and measuring\nSet up and stock stations with necessary supplies before each shift\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas throughout the shift\nLabel, date, and store all food items properly for freshness and safety\nFollow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines\nWork quickly and efficiently to support timely food preparation\nCommunicate equipment, product, or supply needs to management promptly\nAssist in training new kitchen team members when requested\nPerform additional duties as assigned by management\nQualifications\nPrevious experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred; multiple station experience a plus\nStrong understanding of basic cooking and preparation methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment\nExcellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills\nSafe Food Handler certification preferred\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nWorking Conditions\nFast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and wet floors\nRequires standing and walking for extended periods\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally\nFrequent handwashing and use of gloves required\nSchedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed\nPuttery is committed to equal opportunity in the workplace, preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
