This role combines hands-on front-end development with production engineering. You will build responsive web applications, integrate APIs and authentication, improve performance and accessibility, and work closely with platform engineering to deploy and operate applications on AWS. You will have ownership across the development lifecycle-from writing and testing code to deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.\nMission\nBuild high-quality web experiences and deploy them reliably on AWS using secure, maintainable software and engineering practices.\nWhat You’ll Do\nWeb Application Development\nBuild responsive, accessible web applications and reusable UI components.\n\nDevelop features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks.\n\nIntegrate APIs, authentication, analytics, and third-party services.\n\nTranslate product and design requirements into production-ready experiences.\n\nEnsure consistent behavior across supported browsers and devices.\n\nImprove front-end performance, reliability, and usability.\n\nTesting & Quality\nTest critical user journeys across browsers, devices, and network conditions.\n\nIdentify and resolve browser compatibility issues.\n\nImplement automated tests for important functionality and user workflows.\n\nValidate accessibility, performance, and functional requirements.\n\nInvestigate production issues and help identify root causes.\n\nReduce recurring defects through improved testing and engineering practices.\n\nAWS & Production Engineering\nDeploy and maintain web applications in AWS environments.\n\nWork closely with Platform/SRE engineers on hosting and operational readiness.\n\nTroubleshoot application and infrastructure issues in production.\n\nManage application configuration and environment-specific settings.\n\nMonitor application health, errors, and performance.\n\nParticipate in deployment and rollback processes.\n\nHelp establish reliable, repeatable CI/CD workflows.\n\nEngineering Practices\nWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.\n\nFollow secure development practices and protect credentials and user data.\n\nDocument technical decisions and operational procedures.\n\nParticipate in a defined production-support rotation as needed.\n\nCollaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, Security, and Platform Engineering.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years of professional experience developing production web applications.\n\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.\n\nExperience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, Angular, or similar.\n\nExperience building responsive, accessible web applications.\n\nHands-on experience integrating APIs and authentication systems.\n\nExperience with browser security and common web application security practices.\n\nExperience writing and maintaining automated tests.\n\nStrong Git and CI/CD experience.\n\nHands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in AWS.\n\nAn active AWS certification is required.\n\nAWS Certified Developer - Associate is preferred.\n\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\n\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\n\nAI-Assisted Development\nWe use modern AI tools to accelerate software development.
