Courses may include Introduction to Nutrition, Intermediate Nutrition, Advanced Nutrition, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Food Systems Management, Community Nutrition, Wellness, Lifecycle Nutrition, and related areas based on departmental needs.\nFoster an engaging learning environment that promotes student success and professional development.\nMaintain course records, submit grades in a timely manner, and utilize the University's learning management system.\nParticipate in curriculum improvement and departmental meetings as requested.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nRequired Education and Experience:\nA minimum master’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Human Nutrition, or a closely related field.\nCandidates with college-level teaching experience are preferred.\nDemonstrated experience teaching, mentoring, supervising, precepting, or evaluating students in academic, clinical, community, Extension, public health, or foodservice settings.\nExperience delivering nutrition education to various audiences.\nExperience supervising, mentoring, or precepting students during experiential learning, clinical practice, community nutrition programs, Extension programming, or supervised practice is highly desirable.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nMust demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills for all audiences.\nDemonstrate proficiency in the ability for effective teaching and scholarship.\nDemonstrate support of professional organizations in the discipline.\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to effectively teach and engage students from various backgrounds.\nKnowledge of evidence-based nutrition principles and current professional practice standards.\nAbility to incorporate technology into teaching, including Learning Management Systems.• Strong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to provide timely feedback and assess student learning.\nCommitment to academic integrity, professionalism, and student success.\nAbility to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and community partners.\nPreferred Education:\nDoctorate degree in Nutrition and credentialed as RD preferred.\nRegistered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.\nPrevious college or university teaching experience.\nExperience serving as a preceptor for dietetic interns or nutrition students.\nExperience supervising clinical rotations, practicums, internships, or experiential learning.• Experience using Canvas or another Learning Management System.\nExperience developing online or hybrid courses.\nExperience in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, Extension, public health, foodservice management, or wellness programming.\nActive participation in professional organizations such as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or affiliated practice groups.\nJob Posting Close Date:\nUntil Filled\n\nRequired Attachments: Please attach all required documents listed below in the attachment box labeled as either “Resume/CV or Resume/Cover Letter” on the application.
