We invite you to help us create new possibilities in quality living for the seniors we serve.\nResponsibilities\nOperate vehicles with specialized equipment, such as wheelchair lifts to transport and secure passengers with special needs.\nDrive multi-passenger vehicles to transport residents between Village and destination such as appointments, shopping areas, Village sponsored activities.\nCommunicate with Village by radio, telephone, or computer to exchange information and receive requests for passenger service.\nPick up or meet residents according to requests, appointments, or schedules.\nAssist residents on and off bus, ensure they are seated properly, and help carry baggage.\nReport delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.\nComply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.\nCheck the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order. Vacuum and clean interiors, and wash and polish exteriors of vehicles. Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.\nRecord information on trip sheets, along with trip information such as time and place of pickup and drop-off.
